Went for a relaxing break in Port Isaac and stayed here in room 5 which had a lovely view of the slipway. Room not very spacious and with only one chair which meant one of us had to sit on the bed but not too much of a problem. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The toilet was practically touching the ensuite door so a visit in the dark in the middle of the night left me with a head injury when I closed the door and went to sit down! I think they heard the bang it made in Newquay. This is a very old pub with lots of original quirky features so if flat walls and modern surroundings is normally your thing this may not be for you.
Food from the menu ok, very little choice which would make me choose somewhere else to eat if we went back. I also received the wrong order which had to go back but the breakfast was great!.
Tip - Park your car in the carpark on New Road if you can. The walk to the slipway is down a coastal path and will take you around 8 mins on foot. It gives you the option of one or two days and then jumps to a week. If you are staying more than 2 Nights choose the week as it's only a little more than the price of 2 days and cheaper than updating as you go!
