TThis property was not the greatest experience. I feel that they definitely treated us differently being American and we’re a little bit snobby and rude towards us. We got there at 8 o’clock and of course not expecting an early check-in. I wanted to check and see if they had an opportunity for us to come in early. They did not allow us to check in until 3 PM but they did in fact check in more than 10 people while we sat there and waited. They explained that they did not have a room available in my room type which being in the hotel industry I could completely understand, but they didn’t even offer us an opportunity to have a different room type to check in sooner. By the time we got into the room it was definitely dirty. There was a bug smashed on the wall with blood, the sheets had hair on them. The bathroom counter had hair on it. The sheets were dirty and it smelled so strong of cleaning supplies that I instantly got a headache. Right after getting into the room, we definitely went and checked right back out and asked for a refund which they did not want to offer. I did end up speaking to the general manager who said we would be able to get the refund and he contacted the third-party to ask them to refund me yet. Expedia is supposedly still working on the case. This hotel is not near anything and there’s nothing to do in the area. The one good thing was the restaurant by the beach. The food was phenomenal. Still waiting to hear back about my approved refund.
