We stayed at the Shepherd's Cottage at Annandale. From start to finish we received excellent service from Elena through the booking process to Sebastian who greeted us and drove us to our villa and the lovely housekeeping ladies (who's names I forget). The Cottage was absolutely gorgeous, even better than in the pictures, and it smells divine! It has a beautiful wood fire country cottage smell that sets you in a relaxed mode right from the start. If we could've bottled the smell and taken it home with us we would've. The Cottage was so cosy and well appointed. Although there were many activities you could do we felt completely comfortable just relaxing and taking in the beautiful surrounds and watching the cows wander past. The 'we create you serve' food aspect was amazing and so easy to do. There were clear instructions that were very easy to follow. The food was absolutely delicious, the steak we had on the second night was probably the most tender we've ever eaten. It was great that you get to fill out a questionnaire on food likes and dislikes before you arrive. I suggested I liked chocolate desserts and they didn't fail to please. Both desserts we had were amazing! The food was abundant and we never went hungry, in fact quite the opposite. Although we only stayed the two nights it was incredibly relaxing and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anyone and would happily stay again.
