„Very nice stay. Loved that El Tunco is right behind the property.. access to beach, restaraunts all in the backyard. The staff was great. Wanted to leave (late check out) and was told we couldn’t after calling the night before because someone booked the room. That was disappointing but we were able to stay on the resort until 4pm. Room was small for two if you want space but amazing view, clean, food was okay and bar was a nice vibe. Got a massage for 1 hour for $50. All in all had a great time!“

The shower was cold and the bathroom could have been cleaner. There were also ants everywhere in the room, including on the bed. „It was ok. Water park water was shut off very early around 3 pm. No communication. The whole point of staying at this places was the water park for the kids. No direct access to the beach. Restaurant overlooking the beach closed at 6 pm. No chance to see the sunset. The breakfast included was average and I wasn’t given any options… just eat what they provide and period. “

"The apartment is quite nice and clean, the host is very friendly. There are a Number of restaurants and shops (Supermarket, pharmacy, etc.) in 5-10 mins Walking distance. You will find everything you need and the area feels safe as well.
The only things you should be aware are:

"The hotel was really the perfect place for the last days of our 3 week vacation. All we wanted was a nice place to stay and lay at the pool 24/7. The hotel was the perfect choice. Nice interior design, two beautiful pools, direct view at the sea, great drinks and good food. The hotel does not have their own restaurant but still provides some really tasty dishes. Food can also be delivered from another restaurant for a small fee. Within 20 minutes you can also walk down to the next town (el Zonte) with lots of restaurants and a beautiful beach. We would definitely book at El Xalli again. The staff was also super nice and helpful all the time. "
