„An amazing place with a gorgeous view! Spotlessly clean and very modern. We only stayed one night, sadly, but I would have stayed two despite it being somewhat far from some tourist spots. „We had a great time at FINCA el Refugio de Papito. The experience will stay with our family forever. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a Pura Vida experience. Whether it was fishing in the pond, seeing the sloths, macaws, iguanas, turtles or herons it was fantastic. Their offers of fresh coconut, plantains, and fresh cane juice were well received. „Check in was easy, pretty spot and view. Needed to use the back patio during the heat of the day until the sun went down, because the direct sun in the front area is intense. We were surprised the sliding doors and all windows did not have screens, but it wasn't too bad. „Fabulous experience. if you want the wild/lodge experience but still a staffed hotel with a bunch of services then this is for you! We were in the middle of the wilderness, with birds and sloths on site, but still had room service/clean up and buffet style breakfast and a pool! Absolutely recommend. good distance to all the sites/activity but far enough from the tourist trap that is la fortuna!“

"Insgesamt nettes Häuschen mit toller Aussicht. Leider sehr hellhörig, die Treppe knarzt so laut- wenn einer nachts auf WC musste, waren alle anderen auch wach. War aber eigentlich egal, denn der Kühlschrank war noch lauter- alle 30min ist die Kühlung angesprungen und war lauter als der Start eines Flugzeugs. Den Privatpool würde ich besser meiden- das Wasser scheint nicht oft gewechselt zu werden, unsere Badekleider waren nach dem Pool gelb verfärbt und selbst eine Reinigung im Waschsalon hat die Farbe nicht mehr rausbekommen. Zusätzlich hat mein Sohn eine Badeotitis bekommen. Abgesehen davon, eine sehr ruhige Anlage in abgeschiedener Lage von La Fortuna. Allradantrieb ist sehr zu empfehlen, insbesondere bei Regen (und da regnet es ja fast täglich)."

"We had a fantastic stay. The suite was spacious and clean. We could see wildlife through the window, from the balcony or while taking a bath on the balcony. The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared on order. We'd highly recommend a stay here while in Monteverde."

"Der Start in Costa Rica hätte nicht besser sein können - die Anlage ist einfach ein Traum und wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Relativ nah am Flughafen gelegen (ca 25 min Fahrt), alles eingezäunt und so wunderschön angelegt und gepflegt. Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer bzw. Bungalows sauber mit bequemen Betten und Fliegengittern versehen- klar „Natur“ erlebt bzw. hört man denn teilweise haben die Fenster keine Scheiben sondern nur Gitter. Aber wir konnten uns schnell damit arrangieren und das feine aber wirklich köstliche Frühstücksbuffet hat einen super in den Tag starten lassen. Auch abends haben wir dort gegessen was wirklich sehr zu empfehlen war. Die Pools sind so schön eingebettet und das ganze Resort wie gesagt ein Traum- wir würde sofort wieder dort übernachten!"
