Tuscany at it´s best - Wunderbare Familienferien
Ein herrlicher Familienurlaub mit einer herzlichen Gastgeberin, Kindern, Hunden, Pferden auf dem Land in einer ursprunglichen Natur. Excellent location
We had a wonderful week (Oct 15.-21.) at Podere Consani! It is a perfect location for relaxing and discovering the landscape and the interesting cities nearby like Lucca, Pisa and Viareggio. Susan ist a wonderful and kind host, she gave us helpful recommendations and it was always a pleasure talking to her. We enjoyed to stay in the house with its characteristic tuscanian furniture and beautiful details. In the middle of October it was still sunny and warm, we always had breakfast outside and loved to walk around the farm with the olive trees, the horses and dogs. We can absolutely recommend the house an enjoyed our stay very much. Christian and Claudia

Wunderbarer Familien-Urlaub
Das Haus war wunderschön, genau wie auf den Bildern abgebildet, mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail ausgestattet. Der Empfang und die Gastlichkeit von Susan war wunderbar. Wir haben uns auf dem Anwesen sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Tiere, besonders die Hundewelpen haben es unseren Töchtern angetan. Der Pool und das große gepflegte Grundstück waren klasse. Susan und Anhang sind nette hilfsbereite Leute , das Anwesen ist schön und ruhig gelegen , allerdings sollten Küche und Bäder mal renoviert oder untersucht werden , da hier ein muffiger Geruch vorherrscht .

Das Ferienhaus liegt fernab jeder Hektik in einer wunderschönen Landschaft. Die Anfahrt, teilweise über eine Schotterstraße, ist für Städter etwas Gewöhnungsbedürftig. Ein Supermarkt, ca. 4 km ist im Ort. Es gibt auch einige gute Restaurants in der Nähe. Lucca ist ca 15 km entfernt. Zum Meer 40 Minuten. Die Gastgeberinnen ist ganz Wunderbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort Urlaub machen

Wunderschöne ruhige Lage
Die Lage ist perfekt für Urlauber die Ruhe in den Ferien suchen. Für Freizeitausflüge ist die Umgebung super. Lucca ist eine sehr schöne Stadt und wirklich sehenswert. Fahrradausflüge mit Kindern sind eher schwierig da die Straßen sehr eng sind und viel Verkehr auf den Straßen herrscht. Die Vermieterfamilie ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Sie haben ein gutes Gespür für Präsenz und Distanz. Alles in allem war es ein wunderschöner Urlaub und wir würden alle sofort wieder gehen, also sehr empfehlenswert.

Traumhafte Anlage und supernette Gastgeber
Hier hat alles gestimmt! Das Haus ist nicht nur schön und stilvoll eingerichtet, sondern auch sauber, komfortabel und gut ausgestattet (Küche z.B.). Hinzu kommt eine traumhafte Außenanlage mit Garten, Pool, Hängematten/Liegestühlen Tischtennisplatte, Trampolin und einer schönen Aussicht. Dass die Außenanlage mit anderen Gästen und den Gastgebern selbst geteilt wird, hat uns überhaupt nicht gestört, ganz im Gegenteil, es war uns ein Vergnügen! Susan und ihre Familie sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, und die Kinder zuckersüß! Sie haben uns sogar ihren Pferdehof, der nebenan liegt, in aller Ruhe gezeigt. Gute Tipps zum Essengehen und Einkaufen in 10 Minuten Entfernung (mit dem Auto) haben wir auch bekommen. Gerne wieder! Es ist allerdings wichtig, dass man ein Auto hat, falls man vor hat, während des Aufenthalts auch mal die Anlage zu verlassen. Das Haus ist nämlich etwas abgelegen in den Hügeln, sodass es ohne Auto nur schwer zugänglich ist.

Urlaubsidylle in den Hügeln von Lucca
Wir, eine Familie mit 3 Jugendlichen, haben die letzten 2 Augustwochen unsere Ferien in dem wunderschönen Landhaus von Susan verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll renoviert und eingerichtet. Terrassen, Garten und der Poolbereich bieten vielfältige Möglichkeiten für Aufenthalt und Entspannung. Susan kümmert sich sehr um ihre Gäste und hat viele Tipps für Ausflüge und Unternehmungen. Als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge bietet Podere Consani vielfältige Möglichkeiten: Städtetouren und Strandbesuche sowie Wanderungen in den Bergen. Auch Rennradfahrer kommen hier auf ihre Kosten. Viele Höhenmeter garantiert😉.

Wir waren insgesamt 6 Erwachsene und haben eine Woche in der Unterkunft der sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Inhaberin Susan verbracht. Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Pool und Haus sind groß und schön, jedes Zimmer hat ein eigenes Bad. Besonders der Esstisch im Außenbereich hat uns große Freude bereitet.

Ein wundervoller Aufenthalt
Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub. Das Ferienhaus liegt sehr idyllisch auf einem kleinen Hügel, mit schönem Blick auf die Landschaft. Es ist gut ausgestattet mit allen Annehmlichkeiten (2 Kühlschränke, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, Grill etc.). Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und stehen bei Fragen jederzeit Verfügung. Auf dem Anwesen befindet sich ein Pool, den wir zur Erfrischung gerne genutzt haben. Diesen teilt man sich mit den Gästen des zweiten Ferienhaus, was problemlos funktionierte. Nebenan befindet sich ein Reiterhof, ausserdem gibt es noch weitere Tiere (unter anderem drei Hunde und eine Katze). Tagesausflüge (Strand, Lucca) sind sehr gut möglich. Herzlichen Dank an Susan und ihre Familie für den schönen Aufenthalt!

Home away from home
It couldn’t have been better. Susan made us feel very welcome and gave us good advice on where to go for tours, the best way to get there and where to park. She was always available, but never intrusive. We almost felt like visiting family members. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet retreat near historic sites.

A Wonderful Place Above Lucca
Wonderful hosts -- very thoughtful and interested in us having an enjoyable vacation -- couldn't have been nicer and helped us greatly to find local attractions of interest. We had a fantastic stay in Podere Consani. We stayed in the three bedroom house. It is spacious, it also has three bathrooms which is great and a living room that stayed cool during the (hot) days. The bedrooms have airconditioning. Susan offered great advice and has extensive knowledge of the region. Lucca is very close by but the house and (beautiful!) garden is very quiet. We had the BEST time on this lovely property near Lucca. We enjoyed the pool, grounds, pets, farm animals and hiking nearby. It is an easy drive into Lucca and our host had great advice on where to park and local businesses. The home was very private, spacious and the en-suite bathrooms were great for our family. Family trip in summer
Podere Consani is one of the most personable VRBO experiences I've had. Susan is a lovely, helpful hostess. We really enjoyed getting to know her family and were grateful for her advice and assistance. She helped us arrange for a chef catered meal, cooking lessons, and gave advice for local trips. She was extremely responsive to any issues with the functioning of the property. I would strongly recommend renting a car to fully enjoying the property's surrounding area - the drive up to the property is a bit hilly, FYI.

Woning is prachtig, 2 bedden kunnen beter. Schoonmaken kan ook beter. Sommige van ons houden niet van honden, er waren er 10. Susan is erg aardig en helpt waar het kan.

We found Podere Consani beautifully ‘hidden’ in the Tuscan hills, with luscious green all around. The scenery was great wherever we looked, and the cheerful singing of birds added to the charm. And, yet, this house is really not far (by heart I think no more than 10-15 kilometers) from our beloved city of Lucca. And Pisa, Viareggio beach, or even Firenze are all easy to reach in a day’s trip. But you need not to bother, while all you can wish for and expect from Tuscany is found on that hill. And a supermarket for getting your groceries just right down the hill, if you will. We rented the larger of the two houses on the premises: the one that has several rooms at split levels and a warm and cosy, cottage-style atmosphere. The house was clean and comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped indeed, and every room tastefully decorated, which makes it easy to readily feel at home. And although we were there in springtime, we were lucky with the weather and did enjoy sitting outdoors as well, while sweet labrador dogs sometimes came around to quietly lie with us, as if we had been living on that hill forever. The big outside table was great for having breakfast, lunch or dinner in the shade, or for playing a game with our children. It took us a bit of courage but with a deep breath we even concurred the pool early May. This house, its garden and the surroundings are just great and we can highly recommend it indeed. Thank you, Susan and family, for your friendly hospitality and for sharing Consani with us.

An absolutely wonderful stay
Where do I even begin?! Sue and her family are an absolute joy and we loved getting to know them and their pets on their beautiful property. The house itself was well appointed and we felt at ease immediately. The patio on the house provided wonderful views, honeysuckle scented breezes, and lots of opportunity for our family to connect. I cannot recommend this listing enough- we will be sure to return! Lucca is 15-20 minutes away and Sue suggested a wonderful market and dinner options along the route. She was so kind as to help us find our way around and even helped schedule a dinner reservation for us. Way above and beyond! We left with great memories and hearts glad for the time we got to spend in this wonderful place! Book here- you'll be glad you did! Thanks again Sue and family!

A traditional property with a homely feel - Susan is very friendly and helpful who made a real effort to make us feel at home without being too intrusive. The location was the highlight, peaceful and green.

una bellissima esperienza nella natura: confort e bellezza
Posto bello e confortevole a pochi kilometri da lucca. Abbiamo soggiornato con degli amici a capodanno. Per noi il casale da sei. Ci siamo sentiti a casa nostra. Abbiamo acceso il camino e usufruito della cucina per cucinare i nostri pasti. Silenzioso e magico, il posto è bellissimo e i padroni di casa gentili e disponibili. Super Consigliato!

Susan est une Hôte très accueillante et très agréable, la maison est magnifique et le cadre splendide ! Petit bémol, nous n'avions pas vu avant de louer que la piscine est partagée et devant la terasse des autres locataires.

The house was well equipped, and beautifully, comfortably furnished, in the Tuscan style. eful,
Peaceful, whilst surrounded by a working farm... horses, dogs, vines! Hosts helpful and informative. Well stocked local supermarket and bakery ( 5 minutes drive) Lucca 20 minutes away, many surrounding interesting villages, Pisa and beaches easily accessible. Ideal for a calm stay, with points of interest , Whole week, of glorious weather allowed for meals al fresco every day!

What's not to like?
We had a lovely time in a beautiful place. The pictures are a pretty accurate representation of the villa, which is located at the top of a hill up a 2km winding road, amongst olive trees. The pool is welcome after time in the hot Tuscan sun and is very well looked after. Susan and her husband are really welcoming and always available for advice. Well located for Lucca, and pretty close to Pisa with easy access to more distance Florence and other Tuscan sites. Easy to book, and communication, direction, etc all very good. A real find and our first experience of HomeAway - 5 stars from me!!

What an absolute wonderful relaxing 7 days in fresh air and peace
We travelled as 2 couples, had the best time relaxing at our villa, cooking for ourselves, eating alfresco, enjoying a good red wine. All 3 bedrooms have their own ensuite, kitchen, dining, open fire in lounge, laundry, pool, outdoor eating and beautiful views. Our wonderful host, Susan, whom speaks perfect English and Italian,was on hand with good day trip advice and local knowledge without ever being intrusive. We loved to wave to her family, watch the equestrian school, pick some grapes, witness the men shaking the olives from the trees, relax on the property and enjoyed the company of the family's 2 beautiful Labrador dogs. The smaller villa was vacant when we were there. A car is a must to access the property and to grocery shop at the local town not far away. Lucca is not far away and a great walled city to enjoy. Thanks again Susan, we thoroughly loved our week xxxx

A dream vacation - an amazing property - and wonderful owners
Our stay exceeded all expectations! My wife, 2 young girls, parents, and I enjoyed a week here at the end of August. The property is gorgeous and more beautiful than the pictures do it justice. The mountain views, the natural surroundings (flowers, rolling lawn, olive trees, grapevines), the beautiful old stone structures - altogether they make for as scenic and serene an atmosphere as could be asked for. The pool was sparkling clean (and kept clean throughout our stay). The homes had everything we could desire - also tidy and comfortable. Susan and her family were perfect hosts - they were attentive and available when we needed them, but we also had a feeling of privacy. Susan gave us all the instruction we needed to find local attractions, and even had a cycling map from a prior visitor (*incredible* cycling in Tuscany). We'll savour our memories here for a lifetime and hope to visit you again Susan. Best to your wonderful family!

Magnificently located villa in the hills near Lucca.
On our arrival, driving up from San Martino the asphalt road ends en turns to gravel for the last mile, we experienced the serene surrounding, yet so close to Lucca and all the other great places you can go. We had a very warm welcome by Susan presenting us a bottle of superb prosecco. She showed us around and was very willing to answer any question we had or give tips where to go. The villa lies on top of a hill overlooking the surrounding valleys. At night you can see the lights of Lucca, yet it is completely quiet. The house itself is well finished, more than sufficiently equipped and comfortable in every way. The pool and deck are shared with only one other holiday home on the same premisses and are big enough to accommodate all guests without being in each others way. We loved our stay and will hopefully be able to return next year. All in all we stayed for 9 nights.

A haven of peace and tranquility full of Tuscan charm
If you are looking to escape to a different world of peace and tranquility then you will find it at Podere Consani. We have just spent a wonderful week staying in Casa Cherubim and enjoyed it's rustic charm. Susan and family made us feel very welcome and gave us several tips on places to visit. The 2km drive up to the house and the roads around the surrounding hills were quite a challenge but the views are worth it. On our first evening Susan arranged for us to have a meal prepared for us. Their cook served us a delicious six course dinner sitting outside in the garden. The location is ideal for exploring Lucca from where you can reach Pisa and Florence by train.
