Tolle Lage direkt an Lands End. Am schönsten ist die Umgebung am Morgen, bevor für die Tagesbesucher geöffnet wird. Aus diesem Grund lohnt ein Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am South West Coast Path. Wir haben sowohl das gemütliche Bett als auch die Badewanne genossen. Das Zimmer hatte Meerblick.

Aussicht und Personal waren ein Traum. Die Zimmer waren zwar eher klein, sodass man den Koffer kaum öffnen konnte, aber dafür hätte man im Bad ne Menge Platz zum Umdrehen.

Die Lage ist unschlagbar! Direkt an den Klippen kann man den Untergang der Sonne über dem Meer genießen. Bevor die Sonne untergeht kann man wundervolle Spaziergänge an den Klippen entlang machen. Die Zimmer waren ok, das Bad ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Aber alles sauber und funktional. Einziger Abstrich: Das Restaurant, Ein einzigartiger Blick auf das Meer und die untergehende Sonne. Aber ungemütlich, und das Essen war echt schlecht. Die Preise allerdings wie in einem gehobenen Restaurant. Selbst das Barfood nicht wirklich genießbar. Schade.

Nice staff, clean rooms but in front of the hotel is kind of a "tourist villge" with junk stores and restaurants. The breakfast wasn´t really good and the bar and Restaurant is not inviting at all.

Hier zählt nur die Lage
Die Lage des Hotels ist fantastisch, allerdings werden die Zimmer derzeit wohl renoviert - 5 pro Jahr. Wir hatten Pech mit einem alten Zimmer, dasauch nur durchschnittlich geputzt war. Bei genauerem Hinsehen gab es sogar etwas Schimmel am Fenster. Ja, Sanierung ist dringend angeraten. Trotzdem ist das Hotel die beste Wahl, wenn man den Abend in Ruhe in Land's End ausklingen lassen möchte, ganz ohne Touristenscharen dafür mit etwas Glück bei einem tollen Sonnenuntergang. Allerdings folgt beim Frühstück dann eher zufälliger Service...

Ich hatte zwei Zimmer gebucht und hatte schon eine Bewertung abgegeben. Meine Tochter SOphie und ihre Freundin Nele fanden es wunderbar im Hotel Lands ENd.Sie wären gerne länger geblieben. Sie sind morgens gleich am SOuth West Coastal Path entlang gejogged- egal wie das Wetter war. Die lange Anreise zum Hotel hat ihnen nichts ausgemacht. Besonders lecker fanden sie den Frühstück Porridge . Das Abendessen war auch lecker und es gab Tages Specials. Sie würden wieder hin fahren.

Das Hotel liegt wirklich am äußersten westlichen Ende Englands. Es ist zwar ein Freizeitpark angegliedert. Der große Parkplatz spricht für viele Besucher im Sommer. Wir waren in der Woche vor Ostern da vom 22.3. bis 24.3. 2016. Da war der Park noch zu und es war schön ruhig im und um das Hotel. Für Hotelgäste ist der hoteleigene Parkplatz kostsenlos. Des Restaurant ist gut, der Frühstücksraum fantastisch gelegen, mit Blick auf den Atlantik ! Wlan gibt es leider nur in der Lounge, aber das liegt an der abgelegenen Lage. Wir hatten einen Adapter mit und haben uns dann am Stecker eingeklinkt und ich konnte sogar mit Laptop arbeiten. Manche der Gäste mit Handy kamen mit dem Intnernet nicht zurecht, das kann aber auch am Provider liegen. Ein normales Telefonnetz gab es ebenfalls lagebdingt nicht oder kaum !! Ich fand mein Zimmer sehr schön gemütlich, obwohl es keinen Meerblick hatte. Hätte es noch besser gefunden, wenn man das Fenster hätte öffnen können. Es gab einen Wasserkocher, Teebeutel, alles echt englisch. Direkt vor dem Hotel geht der SOuth West Coastal Path, ein Weitwanderweg lang. Auch bei schlechtem Wetter ist es ein Erlebnis, an der Steilküste entlang zu laufen. Ich war mit meiner älteren Tochter und ihrer Freundin da. Auch den jungen Frauen hat es ausgezeichnet gefallen. Sie wären gerne länger geblieben. Der einzige Wermutstropfen ist die lange Anfahrt und evlt. im Sommer der Betrieb des Freizeitparkes.

Amazing spot to stay and visit
Truly an incredible spot and a great hotel to have there. Our room had fantastic views over the lighthouse. Being winter there wasn’t anyone other than the hotel & restaurant but there also wasn’t anybody around either. The hotel is in great condition, staff are friendly and helpful. The cliff top track is an awesome walk. Highly recommended

The Lands End Hotel staff were fantastic from early correspondence with Reservation Team who were so helpful with ensuring the view of the lighthouse I wanted for my Husband and even some advice on dress code when I asked. They arranged a chilled bottle at our table and a Birthday Cake, made by chef, brought out after our meal. Alex in the dining room was so lovely and super helpful. All staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. Our room was perfect, view, comfort, cleanliness and Tea/ coffee facilities. We will definitely return for another stay.

Woeful, stay somewhere else
It was very noisy, we heard the speakers in the dinner area through the floor from approx 7:30am every morning until late. Also there is no soundproofing between the rooms, so you hear everyone, their TV and every move they make. The coffee machine was disgustingly dirty, it clearly had not been cleaned for a while. The 'sea view' was obscured by the concrete edging outside, which are topped with a large concrete square, which obscures the view further. Then the ludicrously low chairs (the seat base is less than 30cm from the floor) add to the problem, so you can only see the sea view if your stand up next to the window, otherwise you cannot see it at all. There is a lot of idiocy too, such as the inline switch for the bedside lamps being tucked behind the bedside cabinets (which means you can't switch them off until you drag the wire, and subsequently the inline switch, up). There is also a lack of sockets, not even enough for the items they provide, so you'll be switching the plugs over a lot. This also means there is nowhere to plug your phone charger in, you can pull out the bedside cabinets and unplug the lamps if you wish, but then you have no lamp. When I complained about the noise from the resturant stereo, the manager offered another room, a downgrade, while having a look at that room I mentioned the things I've sais in this review. All she said is "it has to look a certain way", over and over again. Failing miserably on the basics for vanity is beyond moronic.

The hotel was in a wonderful location overlooking the sea. We were a late check in and therefore the restaurant staff had to give us the key and no one actually showed us to thhe separate building where our room was. The room was lovely once we got in. Several bulbs in the bathroom needed replacing so a bit dark for shaving, etc.. Everything else was great. Would stay there again.

Check in was really easy, and the room very comfortable. Having half & half window shutters meant you could close the bottom half to stop people looking in. I stayed in Penwith Studio 1, and the view was great. The staff were so friendly, it felt liked you had known them for years. Check out by 11am meant you could have breakfast with no rush.

The property is located in a stunning location with amazing walks at the doorstep and a restaurant overlooking the ocean. The family room was scabious and clean the main bed was comfortable the cot single bed was sagging in the middle. Staff was attentive and responsive. Showers hot and with good pressure. We had dinner one night which was good and breakfast was typical English breakfast. Coffee was good. Overall our stay was wonderful and would highly recommend a visit to lands end and stay at the hotel.

We found the evening menu was very limited.The bar menu was expensive for what it was.Staff are hardworking and helpful.The position of the hotel is magnificent with amazing views and dolphin watching possible. For light sleepers it is not so good when the sea mist comes in as the fog alarm will keep you awake all night.We we’re also unable to open our windows as there was a plague of little black flies.Having said all this our friends and ourselves did have a good time.
