Quaint, Quirky and Great Value
Lovely and clean. Quirky. Close to sea front and we had wonderful seaview from our room. A great base for your holiday and reasonably priced. Staff and owner very friendly and helpful. Breakfast served to fridge in your room daily and also has microwave, toaster, kettle and egg cooker. En suite. Will definitely return.

Pleasant stay
The room was off a decent size and comfortable. It featured both a double and single beds. The room did however feel tired and in need of redecorating (for instance there was evidence of what looked to be an old water leak on the ceiling just inside the door). Parking is on the street but plentiful and free. The guest house is ideally located for an evening stroll along the promenade or up in to the town. Overall, a pleasant stay.

The room was very comfortable and had everything in it we could possible want. We especially liked the wonderful breakfast selection left for us in the room: juice, milk, jams, yoghurt and chopped fresh fruit in the fridge; bread and choice of various cereals in the room and a beautifully laid table, and even a toaster and microwave. Perfect!!

Great stay at Duporth Guest house
very nice stay at Duporth Guest house. The location was quiet and convenient. Lots of free parking spaces nearby. The room was great with a nice dining area where we have been able to take our breakfast with a nice sunshine through the big window. Breakfast was well arranged with plenty of choice, which deserve a thumb up with the current self catering requirements. Location was near from many great spot of the UK most south western part: Minack theater, Botallac mines, St Michael's mount, Mousehole, Land's end, St Ives are all with 30min drive. Great stay overall !

It was good to have the breakfast making facilities in the room . The first morning everything in the fridge was frozen as the temperature was set too low. Our room didn’t get cleaned and fresh breakfast goods weren’t supplied for the second day, we said something to the owner and were told we went out too late for this to be done- we were out before 11 and it stated that it had to be done before 12. Someone had been up and unlocked our door and left it unlocked as well as I made sure that I had locked it before leaving. We brought our two year old with us so it wasn’t good that we had paid for breakfast to be included and it wasn’t provided!

I was very delayed on the train, but this did not faze the owner, I was told how to access the property. When I arrived all was as arranged. I arrived to find everything I could need in a clean, tidy, and comfortable room. There was everything in the room for breakfast. From fresh eggs, bread butter three cereal choices, milk, orange juice, jam, marmalade tea coffee. A fridge, microwave, egg boiler, kettle couldn't ask for more. Will definitely stay again.

Thelma and Louise go to Cornwall
3 night stay at Duporth started under a cloud due to Hotels.com bad BAD customer service. When we got to hotel we knew to go straight to room as owner had rang to advise procedure. Room was lovely airy and light. Windows had cobwebs but spiders do happen!! I liked the breakfast being in room, my travelling companion found it quite odd. It won't be to everyone's taste but I liked having it all in room and ready when I was. Steve was very nice and chatty. Overall a lovely break.

Exceptional leisure time out from London
Very pleasant sunny sea view room. Owner Steven was very kind. Good selection of cereals, fruits, various kind of tea and coffee, fresh eggs from local farm. No pressure to eat your breakfast at restricted time, eat it at your leisure.

We were really surprised by the Duporth of how good it was, there was plenty of tea and coffee and a really good diy breakfast of freh eggs, toast, cereal and fresh fruit everyday!! Was like being at home on holiday which was amazing for our first family holiday!!

The rooms and beds were clean and lovely. Especially the breakfast was so nice. But some of the lights in the room didn’t work( but we could manage using another lights) and the one of the curtains was broken.

Slightly Quirky... Spotlessly clean.
Duporth is pleasingly quirky, clean and welcoming. In the morning, on the day of my arrival, proprietor Steve sent a reassuring text to confirm everything was in order. When I arrived that evening, I found there was no breakfast room, but instead, a fridge, microwave and a comprehensive selection of quality continental breakfast provisions and beverages in my room. I have to say, I might have preferred to eat in a separate dining area, but I couldn’t fault the breakfast itself. Overall, I was very impressed and would heartily recommend the Duporth.

My stay was only 3 days. The room was cleaned every day. I only used the room to rest my head and didn't really take full advantage of the amenities on offer. Overall an excellent guest house for my needs.

Comfortable stay
Good communication from the host before the visit. Room clean and comfortable with everything needed. The breakfast is self serve with eggs, cereal, bread, yoghurt, fruit in the fridge in the room. It was easy to sort out my own tasty breakfast, though instructions for the egg cooker would have helped. Location good for the quay and fairly close to the town centre. Would happily return.

Good B&B prior to the Scillonian
I needed a B&B for one night prior to boarding the Scillonian. I knew I would need an early start to get to my car park so the provision of breakfast facilites in the room worked very well for me. Fruit, yoghurt, bread, butter and eggs was a great start to my day. I was able to park at the door and walked towards the town to find a meal and the quay I would be leaving from. It all worked very well for me.

Great location and sea view, very quiet and comfortable. Some of the décor needs a little bit of love, wonky shelves and taps and ragged bath mats etc. The shower also kept stopping and starting which may have been a water pressure issue!

A warm welcome and a well equipped room. There was a view of the sea (just) from the bay window and the town’s facilities were within walking distance. Breakfast ingredients were all in a well-stocked fridge. The room was a little tired with some poor trim but the place represented reasonable value for money and I would stay here again.

Good location near the esplanade in Penzance
The location near the esplanade was good and there was easy street parking nearby. Our host was welcoming and advised on nearby restaurants. Breakfast was good but you do have to put it together and eat in the room, this didn’t bother us as there was a table and chairs in the bay window area and the table was nicely set. A lovely building but inside was a bit tired, I think this is standard in the UK as is lack of elevators so be prepared to carry luggage. Accommodation is also more expensive here. In all though, I’d recommend Duporth Guest House, we enjoyed our two nights there.

Nice guest house in good location
Lovely big room with comfortable bed. Unusual in that we had breakfast in our room. A lovely selection of fruit, yoghurt, cereal and jams were left for us as well as eggs and bread so we could prepare our own. A nice touch. Table was set nicely.

It wasn't Steve's fault thst my wife sprained her ankle & broke a rib a couple of days before we arrived so the stairs looked daunting. Parking is a problem but we got lucky most days, you can be two streets away. Make your own breakfast but only a microwave with which to cook. I never worked out how to work the egg cooker attached to the toaster. Good choices for breakfast. Supermarket within 100 yards, eating places close but a wee way from the main shops. Every now & then the shower just stopped completely which is fun when you are fully lathered. Always came back on. It is a reasonable b & b & the host is nice, you could do a lot worse. I would stay there again, especially if my wife is fit.

Nice hotel close to amenities and in a quiet zone
This hotel offers families a good place to rest as there are linked rooms available. The provision of kettle/fridge/microwave etc are all useful although some may find the noise at night disturbing. The location is great, close to the front but on a quiet residential street which feels safe. My husband found the light from the landing slightly disturbing (the door has a window light above) but it wouldn't bother most people. The bathroom was well appointed and clean. The overall house is showing wear and tear (leaks on ceiling) otherwise I would rate it higher but it suited us very well. Breakfast provision if fulsome and healthy, I loved it. Granola, fruit, yoghurt, eggs all pleasantly presented.

Great location. Just a bit run down. Several tiles were loose in the bathroom, looks generally tired and in need of redecoration, the curtains were to small for the windows and the fridge made a loud nose that kept waking me up.

Small B & B near the seafront
I only had a small single room for one night but it was more than adequate for me. They don't serve breakfasts, but there is a small fridge in the room with a large fresh fruit salad, delicious yogurt, jug of orange juice and milk. They also leave bread, eggs and provide a toaster and egg steamer. Bus stop just around the corner if you don't want to drive.

Nice small and friendly hotel close to the sea.
Room very clean. Although small had all facilities I required e.g. wc,sink, good shower, clean and comfortable linen. Bed very comfortable. The two pillows better than mine at home. Breakfast items in room all of good quality and very adequate.
