Hi Erin, I was very dismayed to read the review that you sent after your stay at my cottage. As we discussed on our call, my goal is to always provide every renter with 5-Star Service, no exceptions. I have thus obtained a very high average ranking and achieved VRBO’s Premier Host status because of my total commitment to service over the last 12 years. My goal is to provide every customer with 5-Star Service, no exceptions! As promised, I did reach out to the operations manager who runs the Otter bay complex and asked him to investigate what had transpired. He did provide his comments and explanation – please see below. Addressing your comment on cleanliness – “Unit was not well cleaned: windows were filthy, dust on many surfaces, corners of floors had obvious debris left” - The operations manager did say that, because the movers were still installing the new couch, the cleaning staff had to wait until the movers were finished and left before they could complete their cleaning because you were understandably anxious to move in, they were unable to complete all their duties as they would have liked to, hence you were faced with a cottage not 100% ready for you to move in. Regarding the mattresses, they were all replaced with new ones about 14 months ago and I do apologise that you were not satisfied. I think we all have our personal preferences regarding the firmness of mattresses. With regards to the blankets, they are understandably not laundered between every guest rotation and it is very unfortunate that you found food stains on one of them – once again apologies for this oversight. As I mentioned, I really wish that you had called me as soon as you first encountered any issues, I would have resolved all the issues immediately and avoided you having to go through the experience. I have learnt from this and going forward I will request all my guests to call me directly so that I can resolve any issues that may arise to ensure they have a 5 star experience.

Hi Trish, thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately the pools are closed for winter. I will however put a note on the VRBO site for future to advise the pool months. Regarding the mattresses, they were replace last year but I will follow up with the strata to find out if there is an issue that needs to be resolved. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Hi Kevin, thank you for your feedback. Since receiving your review I have been in touch with the property manager and they advise me that the cottage has had refresh maintenance done since your stay in January. Also, the mattress was replaced with a brand new one in the Spring of 2020. It is very unfortunate that you did not find it comfortable. Kind regards
