Ruhige, tolle Alternative zu Whistler
Wir waren nur für eine Nacht dort und waren mit unserer Wahl voll und ganz zufrieden. Die Lodge scheint vor kurzem renoviert worden zu sein, alles macht einen guten Eindruck wie ich ihn ansonsten von 4*Häusern in den Staaten kenne. Die Lodge ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet - besonders aufgefallen ist mir der Außenpool mit 'Hot Tub' und Feuerstelle, die sehr gemütlich eingerichtete Lobby mit Kamin und das Quitscheentchen im Bad :o) Es gibt an der Rezeption das nötigste zu kaufen, im Foyer ist eine StarbucksStation, an der es verschiedene Kaffeespezialitäten, Muffins und Obst zu erwerben gibt und 'for free' gibt es geeistes Wasser und 'SpicyTea'. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an wohl! Einziger Wehmutstropfen, es gibt kein eigenes Restaurant, dafür aber einen 10%-Voucher für ein tolles Restaurant in der Nähe, man läuft allerdings ca. 10 Min. an der Straße entlang, die nicht beleuchtet ist und keinen Bürgersteig hat. Auf halber Strecke dorthin befindet sich das Restaurant mit dem goldenen M, neben einer Tankstelle. Den Ort selbst kann man nicht mal eben zu Fuß erreichen, die Lode liegt eher am Ortsrand. Frühstück per Roomservice kann man Per Türhänger vorbestellen und im Hotelordner finden sich verschiedene PizzaBringdienste etc. Die Fahrt von Whistler dauert mit dem hoteleigenen, kostenlosen Shuttle 30 Min. und wir durften sogar mitfahren obwohl wir noch nicht eingecheckt waren.

für mehr als eine Nacht zur Durchreise taugt es nicht
Wir haben das Hotel für eine Nacht zur Durchreise von Vancouver nach Jasper genutzt. Länger hätte ich es hier auch nicht ausgehalten. Das Geschirr in der Küche war schmutzig, das Zimmer lag im EG direkt neben dem Eingang, entsprechend laut war es, der Highway 99 war auch direkt vor der Tür. WLAN funktionierte nicht mit unseren Smartphones, der Kühlschrank war nicht richtig eingestellt, so dass uns das Gemüse fror, die Sessel hatten auch schon bessere Tage erlebt. Die Bettwäsche roch wie schon eine Nacht benutzt und sah auch so aus. In extrem verschlafenen Pemberton selbst gibt es ein McDonalds und ein schlechtes Restaurant, wo wir frühstücken waren. Selbstverpflegung ist also angeraten, wenn man nicht auf Fast Food steht. Ingesamt in Pemberton wohl die beste Wahl, aber wer zumindest etwas Anspruch hat, wird sich hier nicht sonderlich wohl fühlen. Besser ist man sicher in Whistler dran, da ist die Auswahl an Hotels und Restaurants einfach größer, dafür sind die Preise hier etwas höher als in Pemberton.

The hotel is surrounding by the giant mountains, and next to the one mile lake. All the outdoorsy should check it out if travelling in this area. Also! They are super dog friendly, but make sure to let the hotel know in advance if you’re bring your furry friends with you.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I would give 0 star if I could. This place is a scam. It charges you extra fees from your credit card that you were never informed of at the time of booking and told you it’s “extra required taxes”. Meanwhile, they couldn’t tell you what “tax” exactly it was when you ask for the actual provision in the tax act and told you to talk to Expedia. Of course Expedia wouldn’t be able to do anything and would tell you “it’s in our terms and conditions that you might be charged extras by the hotel and it has nothing to do with us”. Just RUN it’s a SCAM.

Due to a July 1 provincial government change in the way online merchants are being taxed, Expedia is not collecting the entire amount of taxes due on reservations made in BC. There is a shortfall when we enter your pre-paid reservation in our system. As we are bound by provincial law to collect and remit the entire taxable amount on all reservations, we must collect the difference from Expedia guests on departure. Thank you.

The property was average for the high price tag. The 2 bedroom suite was outdated, the shower in the master bedroom was too small maybe 30 inches by 30 inches and no coffee machine or keurig maker in the room. The toilet was super loud when you flushed it. The jets in the hot tub did not work properly so it was basically a big bathtub. We would not stay here again but stay in whistler.

We stayed three nights with our dog. The staff were amazing. Very dog friendly with excellent trails right from the property. Loved the large clean room with kitchenette. Cannot wait to go back.

A hidden gem!
First time we stayed here. What a pleasant surprise! The front desk staff was super helpful, they really went above and beyond. The pool and hot tub was nice, the room clean and convenient with kitchen utensils etc. Kids had a great time. Will definitely be back!

Be very careful, on check-in they mentioned they'll charge us $20 for our stay that they claimed its some kind of tax. But on checkout it went up to $40.

Great staff!
The hotel staff are amazing. Stayed over during Christmas and they did a great job ! The extra touch was the “ house dog” wandering the lobby to greet you ( wearing his Christmas sweater) to make things just a little more homelike.

This is my fourth time staying here in the past 10 years. Always the same friendly service. Quality, comfortable and very welcoming. We love Pemberton — add in the restaurants, cafes and local shops, the PVL is the cherry on top :)

Lovely rooms
Absolutely beautiful hotel. Our only complaint is that you cant get a king sized bed in any room. Having a husband who is 6’5” makes a king bed essential. Checkin staff were lovely and friendly, cleaning staff do a great job, room set up is comfortable and cozy. But we slept poorly just because of the bed situation. Talking to another couple who were staying there as well they had the same complaint.
