„Nur wenige Schritte vom berühmten Friedhof entfernt liegt das Ayres de Recoleta im angenehemen Stadtteil Recoleta. Restaurants, Cafés, Geschäfte und Supermärkte sind rundum vorhanden. Auch abends kann man sich hier problemlos auf der Straße aufhalten. In die Innenstadt sind es mit dem Taxi rund 35 Peos. Oder man fährt mit dem Collectivo, z.B. Nr. 59 zum Obelisk (ca. 1,50 Peos, nur in Münzen zahlbar).“
