Our stay at Victoria Xiengthong Palace in Luang Prabang was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome — a refreshing drink and a damp towel — set the tone for a truly relaxing and gracious stay. The hotel itself effortlessly combines royal-palace charm and modern comfort. Our room was beautifully furnished in rich teak wood and traditional Lao-style textiles, giving a sense of heritage and elegance. The bathroom — complete with tub and separate shower — and the comfortable bed made our stay very luxurious. We especially enjoyed the cooking class and the sunset cruise organised by the hotel — both were well-organized, delightful and gave us a wonderful taste of authentic Lao culture. The cooking class was a great way to learn how to prepare traditional dishes, and the setting for the sunset cruise was magical. The staff deserves special mention: kind, genuinely welcoming and attentive to every wish. We felt taken care of from arrival to departure, which made the stay even more special. Location is perfect — peaceful and quiet, yet just a short stroll from the old town, near the river and close to the bustling night market and charming cafés. All in all, Victoria Xiengthong Palace offers a flawless blend of heritage, comfort, and warm Lao hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here — it is a true gem in Luang Prabang, and I would stay here any time again.

Alles war sehr gut, sauber und gut gepflegt. Das Hotel hat aber gerade zwei Namen - Sunrise hotel und La Palm, was etwas verwirrend ist. Ansonsten eine makellose Dienstleistung. Immer wieder gerne.
