The ferry from Padstow Harbour crosses to Rock (14 miles by car) and its sandy, surf-friendly shores, while Lower Beach and St George's Cove (1 mile) sit along the coast to the south. Trevone (2.5 miles), the first of the 'Seven Bays', offers another stretch of sand further along the coastline, with coastal paths linking many of the beaches on foot. Port Isaac (15.5 miles) and Boscastle (23.5 miles) lie in one direction, and Harlyn Bay (4 miles) in the other – all within reach for a day out. Boat trips and sealife safaris from the harbour head out along the Camel Estuary and the North Cornish coast.
