The Space:
Tranquility Tiny House is located in the small town of Owaka, South Otago close to Catlins. Nearby Purakaunui Falls, Cannibal Bay, Florence Hill Lookout, and Owaka Museum are just a few of the attractions in the area. A comfortable 155 square-feet stay and one of the best tiny house rentals in the area with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.
The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers) for you to use. It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save the environment.
If you plan to spend your tiny house NZ escape here, we advise that you bring your own food, although there is a small supermarket and several local eateries just 5 minutes drive away. Thank you.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the property and its surrounding areas, except the land host's private residence.
Guests are allowed to explore the property, however, as part of our Qualmark certification, they must first go through a health and safety briefing before signing a waiver. Please keep in mind that there are no significant hazards on the property that would endanger our guests and that this is simply a routine from guest to land host.

Getting Around:
By car:
Earthlore is 2km from the Owaka township on the road to Jack’s Bay. The southern scenic route is tar sealed but there are numerous gravel roads in the area.
By public transport:
No public transports are available, but we do have a courtesy van for up to 6 passengers. If you're interested, please contact the land host 24 hours in advance to make the necessary arrangements. Thank you.
Other Things to Note:
- Pets are not allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Patchy mobile reception with Telcom and Vodafone
- No smoking or vaping inside, except in designated (or outside) areas
- Please be advised that we have donkeys and sheep on our property
- Please do not enter animal paddocks without the land host's permission
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- If you're interested in petting our mammal friends, please contact your land host to make arrangements
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics, close windows, and lock doors when leaving the house

- We would like to remind guests that our tiny house follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank.
Important note:
- BBQ and outdoor fire pit are not available
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Please note there are many native birds living here and their birdsong can be loud at times
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our cassette toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.

Guests will enjoy your own private space but we are always happy to chat with you.
