The staff running the breakfast buffet and managing room cleans were lovely and hardworking - they are 5 star crews! Our room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We had almost everything we needed...
The purpose of my family's travel was to attend a funeral - the day of the funeral there was no hot water for a shower until hours later (into the evening). When we originally discovered, on our own (no notification, which could have been emailed or otherwise) that there was no hot water, I went to the front desk and was was told that it would be available in 20 minutes or so, there was a hot water tank issue which just being completed... 20 minutes was not the case at all. It was hours later into the evening that hot water returned and it was too late then. It was also unappreciated that after travelling as a family with kids, coming in after midnight to check-in, that the staff member running the front desk wanted us to log in to our online banking to prove we had paid a deposit. We had no internet, had been travelling all day, and one child was experiencing a painful ear drum from the flight - we showed our booking receipt, but this was not considered satisfactory by staff! (We were eventually able to check-in and agreed to get it sorted upon checkout after showing we didn't have internet).
