No Spa included
Only reason to book the hotel was the Spa. But it closed already at 9pm and it’s on extra charge at 10% if the room charge. I was very disappointed as such a 5* hotel should have this as an included services. The price I paid is much ti high and on the booking page are nice pictures but no info to see as fast as the nice pictures. Room was ok and bed as well. Breakfast also.

Das Hotel ist ok, aber keine 5 Sterne. Wenn man zwischen 9 und 10 zum Frühstück kommt, muss man 15min anstehen. Einrichtung ist etwas outdated. Personal ist ok, kannte sich in Oslo auch nicht aus. Beim Einchecken warten wir in der Schlange, während andere Hotelangestellte uns ignorieren...

La grande dame - nicht kontinental europäisch
Empfang war sehr freundlich. Der Rezeptionist zeigte uns Alternativen zum uns zugewiesenen "Superior room", der unter dem Dach, abgeschrägt, war, so dass der Raum, in dem man aufrecht stehen konnte, sehr klein war. Wir haben uns "aufgradiert" und ein sehr schönes Zimmer bezogen. Roomservice gab es nur bis 21 Uhr, also für uns nicht mehr möglich. Die Koffer trägt man selbst, einen Portier gibt es nicht. Man ist eben in Norwegen. Sehr gutes Frühstückbuffet. Alles in Allem: nach wie vor ein sehr schönes Grand Hotel, in dem wir schon viele Male abgestiegen sind, und es auch wieder tun werden.

Varmt rom og støyende arrangement.
Jeg fikk et veldig tett og varmt rom. Gav beskjed til resepsjon og fikk velge mellom ulike rom. På kvelden var det et støyende arrangement i restaurant og bar som gjorde at vi valgte å dra et annet sted. God frokost. Bestilte taxi, men den kom aldri. Grand hotell har et forbedringspotensiale.

I think I was expecting more from the Grand Hotel. I found our other hotels in Oslo to have better rooms, breakfast, and amenities for cheaper. Hotel Bristol was much better.

The good location and good personals. The receptionist and restaurant and bar staff are very professional,kind and helpful. The room was good and clean but after the first day ,they didn’t clean properly. The hotel is very pleasant inside as well as outside. The doors of the hotel-rooms reminded me of the doors of a similar luxury Hotel in Lake Louise Canada. It is clean and the service personell are friendly and relaxed. We traveled with a cat and were assigned a special room for that that instead of carpeting has a pleasant clean wooden floor. If I have any complaints, it was that the plumbing of our bathroom needed to be fixed. Otherwise, since this probably was just an occasional error, we strongly recommend this hotel. Location could not be better right in the center of Oslo between the Royal Palace and the Parliament buildings with the shopping right around the corner. If you go for New Years Eve remember that everything is closed on New Years Eve and New Years Day.
