Frankly speaking, based on my experience I cannot understand the other ratings on this hotel. I have been visiting Japan for several years, and out of all hotel rooms and apartments that I have stayed in so far I would rate this hotel among the bottom five.
Except for the basic requirements on a hotel room like the presence of a bed, something to sit on, a functioning shower and toilet, there are two things that I expect. It should be clean and reasonably quiet to allow for sleep. I think that I can say that the first condition was not met. Since I stayed more than one night, I also cannot believe that this was just a one-day issue. The second one was okay using ear plugs, but not due to noises from airplanes, but rather from something irregular that sounded like some noise of water pipes.
It is true that the location is very convenient though, with a Seven Eleven just across the street and Itami airport in walking distance of maybe 7 minutes, from where there is direct bus connection to several places and a monorail to Osaka. In fact, I spent a lot of time at the airport, not only for dining, but also to work (it seems to close towards 10 p.m. though, and most of the restaurants towards 8 p.m.). Mainly, this was because the free wifi was much better than the internet in the hotel, where even reading emails was extremely slow or impossible at all, particularly in the evening, and also because I preferred to use the toilet there.
