"Casa Vera exceeded all of our expectations. The personal attention to detail and warmth of the owner and staff are exemplary. Do yourself a favor and book dinner at the Casa Vera Enoteca as well - absolutely incredible food and service. "
"Tastefully designed hotel, in a great location to feel the city vibe.
Great breakfast was offered, with so many options.
Great staff - great service and attention to details, by all!
Wish we had another night in Orvieto, and as it is close to Rome - I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you all for such a lovely experience!"
"This was a beautifully renovated farmhouse in Umbria. The place was a working winery with a an excellent food staff. The property was beautiful and in close proximately to Orvieto."
"As someone who usually stays at very cheap stays, this was a treat. I stayed by myself and I felt like the room was very big. The bathroom and shower were small but fine. Front desk attendants were very nice and the breakfast was simple but enough to get my day started. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night! Beautiful villa. I would stay again!"
"Good location, 10 to 15 minute walk from train station and the funicular and has a good view of the hilltop city of Orvieto from below. The included breakfast was fine."
"Beautiful serene property with extraordinary attentive and welcoming staff.
Incredibly decorated rooms and excellent cuisine and winery.
Highly recommended!"
"Really a lovely hotel. The rooms were gorgeous, the staff was super helpful and on top of stuff (cab, dinner res, itinerary), and the cafe was very nice. If you go to Orvieto you should stay here. "

You can browse the exhibits at Palazzo Papale, a museum with a story of its own, during your trip to Sferracavallo. Discover the countryside and cafes in this family-friendly area.
I thought four nights would be too long in Orvieto, but was completely wrong. There were so many lovely places to wander and the people in the town were welcoming and engaging. Also, transportation from Orvieto is fairly simple.

Beautiful hill town with so much history and amazing architecture. The duomo was spectacular in the evening and early morning light.

I haven't heard about it before and definitely a spot I'd recommend anyone on a day trip from Rome. Incredibly unique on top of hill and honestly, controversial thought it was my favorite Duomo (Milan, Firenze) but maybe because I wasn't expecting it

An exceptionally beautiful town with wonderful inhabitants. Located nearly exactly at the midpoint between Rome and Florence (both about 1h15m away).

Very cool little town. We ate at a restaurant away from tourists. We enjoyed the ambience and quietness. The food was excellent.
"We absolutely loved our stay at Emme Hotel! This place is a hidden gem elegant, freshly renovated (as of April 2025), and simply stunning. The room was beautifully upgraded, and the bedding felt like sleeping on a cloud. The shower? Spa-worthy. Every detail was thoughtfully designed.
What really made our stay exceptional was the staff. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly kind and helpful they gave us fantastic restaurant recommendations, and every single one was a hit!
Emme Hotel easily deserves a five-star rating. It’s modern, cozy, and full of charm. We’re already looking forward to coming back!"
"I like that it was close to the town of Orvieto and that parking was easy. The food at the restaurant was so delicious! There were two pools with snack bars which was amazing! The staff was so polite and nice. 10 out of 10. "
"Erika, Iliana, and Maurizio are awesome! This will become our new vacation go to spot. Ask for anything and you will get it. Everyone at this property is fabulous!!"
"We were hoping for a nice country Relais...Borgo San Faustino was beyond our expectations. What a beautiful location with views for days and days. The property is authentic old-world charm with interesting ruins on the property. Beds were comfortable and our two dinners on the property were delicious! The staff helped us with all of our needs."
