„We had an extended family break in relatively poor weather, so we were not able to enjoy the grounds which would have been a great plus. Dispute this we totally enjoyed the property with its large rooms. The kitchen is a galley lay out but worked better for us with little people. The hosts were outstanding with a us especially as we caused a few unforeseen issues.“

„Well equipped accommodation in a peaceful setting. Perfect for visiting Dartmoor and the local area.“

„Would not hesitate to recommend.“

„Es sind halt alte Räume, aber es geht. Nur kalt war es, so dass wir einen extra Radiator verwenden mussten. Im Pub gut gegessen, viele Hunde und durch Campingplatz viel los. Frühstücksauswahl begrenzt.“

„Plenty of parking at the rear of the pub for guest, which was great as there isn’t any parking on the Main Street. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice.“

„The Blue Lion is ideally situated for a stop over when making a long journey to Cornwall. The room was well equipped and comfortable. There is some traffic noise from the road, but that did not spoil our one night stay. The staff were welcoming and the locals were friendly. The evening meal was excellent. I would stay here again if travelling in this area.“

„Our new favourite place, absolutely faultless. Food is exceptional, a significant step up from your normal pub grub. Our little pooch was also made to feel incredibly welcome and even served with her own little platter of treats. A beautifully clean and well presented restaurant experience that welcomes anyone whether it be special celebrations or a party of hikers that have just conquered Dartmoor. 100% we will be back and bringing friends and family.“
