Short holiday stay - greatly enjoyed
Spent a few nights in this hotel. The hotel has a great location in the middle of the town. The rooms are comfortable, and all amenities available. Everything is modern (e.g. to have USB outlets for charging phones etc.). Breakfast was great, und staff very helpful. Parking is not possible just directly at the hotel, but there are public parking spaced nearby, so parking was not an issue. Recommendation: Book a seaview room, great for the view and watching the ferries arriving/ departing. Additionally the other side is facing the thorough street, on on seaview there will be less traffic noise.

Lage perfekt - aber etwas überbewertetes Hotel.
Wir hatten 2 Zimmer gebucht, mit der Bitte im Vorfeld, diese nebeneinander zu bewohnen. Wurde uns auch im Vorfeld zugesagt. Leider bei der Ankunft: Nicht möglich. Lösung beim Einchecken: 1 Zimmer im 2. Stock - das 2.te Zimmer im 3. Stock ( Mansarde ). Zuerst wurde keine Lösung angeboten. Nachdem ich mit Nachdruck reklamierte, war es doch möglich 2 Zimmer nebeneinander im 2. Stock zu bekommen. Schade das der Lift ( wohl schon seit Wochen und weitere Wochen ) nicht in Betrieb war! Zimmer sehr klein, aber sauber. Gebucht wurde Meerblick - erhalten haben wir Zimmer auf der Straßenseite. Generell kein besonders freundliches Personal - für Schottland eher unüblich. Lage perfekt. Parkmöglichkeiten mit Parkuhr für mich akzeptabel. Unter dem Strich für mich: 3 Sterne - ohne ( derzeit ) Lift. Kleine Zimmer - Lage Top.

Neurenoviertes Hotel mit Seeblick und sehr zentral
Das neu renovierte Hotel hat sehr schön ausgestattete Zimmer, schnelles WLAN und freundlichen Service. Nach einem kurzen Sauberkeitdproblem mit der Bettwäsche wurde die komplette Wäsche anstandslos gewechselt und alles war perfekt. Wirklich gutes Reaktion. Das Frühstück lässt keine Eünsvhe offen, auch der Kaffee war für schottische Verhältnisse gut.

Lebhaftes Lage, unerfahrenes Team
Angeblich frisch renoviert, trotzdem wurde gerade vor dem Fenster (Meerblick gebucht) ein Gerüst aufgestellt. Der Gerüstbauer hatte davon einen tollen Ausblick auf unser Bett. Wir leider keinen. Servicekräfte sind bestenfalls enthusiastic amateurs. Jeder scheint ein Trainee zu sein. Falsche Auskünfte zum Parken wurden gegeben. Zusätzliche Gebühren wurden berechnet, die nicht bei Hotels.com angegeben waren. Sehr laute Lage direkt am Fährableger. Keine Parkmöglichkeiten.

Hotel and area are beautiful. Evening front desk staff is neither very friendly nor helpful. We had difficulty finding the parking lot and she wasn’t much help. I am diabetic and my blood sugar crashed, my daughter ran down to get a coke from the bar and she wasn’t sure if they were open at the time and the same desk staff was of no help, thankfully my daughter saw that the bar was open and they were more than helpful.

Fine, comfortable but very hot room with no airconditioning. Very small for the price charged and more expensive than other options nearby. Didnt feel like value for money. Wine in the restuarant served warm.

Conveniently located, rooms were clean and there was enough room to manuever large suitcases. Staff was efficient and helpful. The bar was a great place to unwind and sit and talk. Parking in Oban is not easy but we just parked in the train station lot and paid for parking. It was across the street from the hotel. This hotel has an elevator which was a major factor in choosing it.

We are unsure as to what the noise you heard in the morning, but rest assured, it was not hotel staff as they do not commence their work until 8am, an dare all acutely aware if their responsibilities to ensure our guest's comfort.

Loved this hotel, great location for shopping and restaurants, the ferry and trains, Our room had a great view of the harbor - the bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a large walk-in shower. Breakfast was included and included an excellent selection for continental breakfast options meats cheese cereals and fresh fruit as well as traditional make to order options. At the end of the night we ended up at the LuLu lounge- great selection of beers on tap and an excellent selection of Scotches. They also have a large selection of mixed drinks - my wife was a fan of the Oban Sunset. Finally, and most importantly the staff was outstanding, always helpful attentive and just great - from the front seat to the bartender in the LuLu lounge everyone was just great. Definitely recommend.

Gorgeous hotel and wonderful amenities. Large room, up to date, comfortable beds. Walkable to dining and shopping. Beautiful sunset. Only complaint is parking is down the street in a car park. No room really to off load. Had to walk a long ways dragging luggage. Otherwise, brilliant stay. Excellent breakfast! Wonderful choices and quality ingredients. I'd stay here again.

The hotel was right next to train station food was lovely and room was very clean But was very disappointed on the hotel bar closing at 10.30 fir 11 we walked in after being out fir nice meal thought we head back to hotel fir few drinks but the barman served us saud the bar was closing e had one drink when the backing music switched off barman had his jacket on left at 11 Porter on the door I must say what a waste as the lounge is done up lovely too so we were very disappointed and for that reason we won’t be back as we like to head back to our hotel at night just chill out in the lounge

Had a great night's layover here on our journey through Scotland and found Oban to be a great little town! Hotel was great, found parking a short walk away, and the room had a great view of the sea. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying here again!

Very quiet hotel. Lovely staff, very frendly and helpful. Good bar and suana / steam room. Very clise to harbour and local shopping. No car parking at hotle but available clise for a charge. Definitely return to this hotel
