The hotel is in lovely surroundings. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. We would stay here again.

Our room wasn’t clean, there was a few glasses in the room and the floor wasn’t clean, I end up with a cut with my feet because I didn’t see the glass. We try to find a staff but we couldn’t. The breakfast definitely not worth £25 at all. It was absolutely disgusting, cold and not many to pick. Staffs knew we both are deaf but still talk behide our back without realising. There are no deaf awareness at all. We was so desperate to leave soon as possible. We brought our baby with us and never again.

Very tired old hotel, Wi-Fi is poor the TV in my room was no bigger than an IPad. Food was not good sent back twice for not being hot enough.

The hotel in itself was pleasant, but I booked a double bed, which was even confirmed by the receptionist. Upon entering my room it had two small single beds. Sleeping in a single bed at 6ft 1 isn’t ideal and that coupled with an extremely warm room resulted in an awful nights sleep, so won’t be returning next time I’m in the area.

We'll be back!!! :-)
Stayed over one night with a group of freinds had a relaxing time, we walked, talked, used the pool and just relaxed. All the staff both in the hotel, the resteraunt and the pool seemed freindly, yet professional and helpful, breakfast was lovely as was sunday lunch. Though the hairdryers in the changing rooms were far better than the one in our room, it would be nice if they were the same. overall Fab Fab Fab Thank you to all at Wensum

Great if you still live in 1995
Reception friendly, pointed to room, got to room, immediately disappointed, old fashioned and basic, I could hear the entire conversation on the next rooms mobile (speaker) and his end too. the bulb in the room is military grade and makes the room about appealing as a cold sore. The brochure suggests a "cooked to order" breakfast this may be true if I ordered it the night before, cheap ingredients served not as I asked. day 2 did not even attempt to eat it. you know you have made an error when the reception team do not even bother to ask how your stay was. If I was a golfer paying £49 B&B then this would hit the mark. I am sure you all work hard, but come on, get the owners to spend a night in the room and work out some little great value tweaks that would make it look like you care. PS the shower was awesome and was the only highlight of the trip. also mentioning a price to send a Fax in the brochure makes us think that your are way behind the times. maybe some new cutlery too.

No good if you are working
I was there for 3 nights and i could hear the people in the next room clear as a bell. I could hear their TV as if it was in my room. The wifi was so weak that my laptop wouldnt connect so i couldn't do any paper work in the evening. The TV was so small I could hardly see it.

Do not stay here.
Only 2 of our 3 night stay here after the behaviour of hotel guests. Fighting, smashing glass and doors till early hours. No assistance from front desk when contacted to control this. My 9 year daughter now never wants to stay in a hotel after this experience. Bitterly disappointed by the handling of our complaint by this hotel. Unless you’re a chav best stay away

Staff friendly and helpful. Clean room. Use of pool and gym included in stay. Footgolf extra but not over priced. Only downside was price of bar meals. Thought a tade pricey for what we got although tasty.

We stayed for two nights as a weekend get away with our 6 year old son and it was a pretty poor experience all round. We booked a Friday and Saturday night and when we arrived on the Friday very quickly spotted that most of the hotel hasn’t been updated since the 1990’s. When we arrived in our room it looked nothing like the ‘family room’ we book from the website which shows a large room with lots of space and a sofa, we had a small room with 3 single beds, two pushed together and one pushed against the wall beside the door. When we asked at reception the lady told us we had a “family room for 3, not the family room for 5 which is shown on the website” when we pointed out that the website was misleading her reply was “sorry about that” and then to stare at us is we had anything else to say. The venue also does weddings and at 00:41 Saturday morning we were treated to 4 or 5 women and two men fighting in the car park outside our room screaming and swearing to the point where in woke my son up and he started crying, about an hour after that we were treated to the band or disco packing up slinging their stuff in vans and swearing at each other as they packed up, luckily my son was asleep at this point. Saturday we went out and had a great day around the Norfolk coast, when we returned to the room it hadn’t been cleaned, we still had wet towels from the day before and not much left to make tea and coffee, when we asked at reception a different receptionist stared at us for a few

Service was good but didn’t eat in the hotel. Room was clean & comfortable but a little tired. Bedside tables and desk were marked by hot drink rings. Shower was large and good power. As others have mentioned could do with a ‘spinner’ to dry costumes and changing rooms again were tired. For a one night stay and good value.

Staff were polite. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The TV was way too small to view for the size of room, also had to get reception to work out how to switch it on. Subsequently worked out that it takes five minutes to switch itself on. The shower was excellent but toilet drain was very smelly. No toilet roll holder or towel rail? Lack of evening restaurant food choices. Views were outstanding from breakfast room. It's in a lovely valley.

It was fine for what we paid, but the walls are paper thin, the hotel feels quite tired and bashed around. Good that it's got a pool though; it's perfectly fine for a one night stay as long as you don't have a noisy neighbour nearby.
