„We lived in a cute nice house that was unfortunately opposite the schoolbus depot and on the ME - 140. There was heavy trafic on the road from 6 am to 9 pm , because it was on the federal highway. Access was quite easy thanks to a numerical code. Apart from the noise from the street, we really iked the house and the surrounding aera.“

„We loved our stay! This house is beautiful and has everything needed for a wonderful ski vacation. So close to skiing. Views are incredible. Very clear instructions. Kitchen well equipped so that you can cook in the home. Kids had so much fun in the game room. We would love to stay again! Thank you for your hospitality!“

We were pleased to find the fireplace in working order, even though we received a note that it was not working. That and the large kitchen are the natural gathering spots for our family. „Shimmering Cove was the perfect location for me and my friends to stay at for the weekend. There was plenty of space, activities, and supplies available. The hot tub was amazing and the views were wonderful. We made use of the kayaks, and there was also plenty to do when the weather was rainy. Check in and check out process was seamless. I would highly recommend this property!“

„The property was better than advertised. Brand new and perfectly efficiently layed out for a family of 4. Kids loved sleeping in the loft and had their choice of beds. The house was immaculate and the linens were comfortable like home. We have a wonderful time at the house and skiing Sunday River which was a pleasant drive and easy to get to. The lake was our favorite!!“

„Everything about the property was as advertised or better. Valarie was an exceptional communicator always responding to messages immediately. Everything about the house is high quality. I had some concerns about having to cross a street to get to the private beach but those concerns turned out to be unfounded. Very little traffic. We would definitely go back.“

„This is an ideal location for a fun getaway for any season. Plenty of room for a large/extended family. While there is a road between the house and lake it didn’t detract from the experience at all. Pro tip, in cooler seasons turn on the ceiling fans to push the warmer air down. Otherwise the main room will feel cold. The dock is slightly off level and a couple doors don’t latch completely but those are just signs of a well loved camp.“

Being a group of French people, we appreciated the well equipped kitchen. The communication with Eric, the property manager, was excellent.“

The location was unbeatable — back door was literally steps from the lake and the lake was the star of the trip. We spent the day on the deck, on the dock, or in the water. Secondly, having a dedicated area for skis and ski boots would enhance the overall experience in the winter. Lastly, an extra couch or two ...
