„We had a very nice stay at this quaint house in a very nice area of Dubuque. The house and property showed obvious care and beauty. The house was clean. Could have used a once over in the corners and along the ceiling edges. We enjoyed all the games and puzzles for our 2.5 yr old! We didn't spend a lot of time on property because of the memorial we were on town for, but we felt very comfortable there. All the beds were comfortable and we had plenty of towels and such. „The house is beautiful and well maintained. It is a fun opportunity to imagine life in one of these beautiful old homes from the 19th century. A wonderful breakfast was served Saturday and Sunday. Simon was great. Friendly and full of tips and ideas to help make the most of our time in Dubuque. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. „Chris and Resa run a wonderful B&B! The house itself is beautiful, and if you like seeing original architectural details of historic buildings, this is the place for you. Breakfast was delicious, and it was hard to pick what our favorite meal was. After a day of shopping on Main Street, it was nice to come back to the house for a charcuterie plate and cookies (both different every day!) and wine. My favorite touch was a homemade brownie waiting for us when we checked into our room - delicious!“

„The Tiskilwa Inn is nicely restored mansion originally built in 1848. It has 5 guest rooms, all recently refurbished in the finest style. Our first night we were the only guests so it felt like our own private stately home. I want to go back so I can stay in each of the other four rooms.“
