Bonner Bridge is one of North Carolina's most well known man-made structures of it's kind (The Linn Cove Viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway is probably the most well known). This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle.

This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness.

If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location.

„So during our stay this past weekend, 1/31-2/1, there was a massive snow storm. Over a foot of snow fell and we were snowed in. That being said, the staff was absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we need and helped us to get another room when we had to end up staying another night because our car was burried! "Es war bereits unser dritter Aufenthalt im John Yanceys. Wir waren zu jederzeit sehr zufrieden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war wieder sehr schön, wie beschrieben und auch sehr sauber. Wir nehmen housekeeping eher seltener in Anspruch, konnten aber zu jederzeit Handtücher austauschen und neuen Kaffee erhalten. Ebenso fanden wir den vorhandenen Besen und Fegeblech sehr nützlich für den täglichen Bedarf. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder! Herzlichen Dank ans Team für die wunderschöne Zeit. "
