„For a change the online pictures do not do a property justice. This fantastic and newly renovated lodge is set in acres of spectacular and interesting grounds. Everything has been done to a very high standard, including the service, rooms and on-site dining. Set 10 or so Kms from Rotarua it avoids the "smells". Our room was one of the smaller ones and lacked a good view, but nevertheless was well appointed and very comfortable (heated floors in the bathroom - wow!!) We enjoyed our stay ...

While the meals were okay but not great, we enjoyed the social hour and meeting the other guests. Lodge rooms were smaller than expected. Beware that it is a long windy drive in and out of the hotel. “

„Das Hotel liegt zentral in der Innenstadt, so dass fußläufig alles gut zu erreichen ist (Einkaufen, Essen gehen etc.). Die Räumlichkeit im Hotel waren für uns vier Erwachsene gut zu handeln. Ausreichend Handtücher waren da (für jeden eins). Küche war mit allem Komfort, wie Microwelle, Kühlschrank oder Gläsern ausgestattet. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung und angemessen. “

„ACHTUNG - im Erdgeschoss ist ein Pub, an Wochenden mit sehr lauter Musik bis spät nachts. In den Zimmern in der 1. Etage nicht auszuhalten, in der 3. immer noch laut hörbat. Absolut inakzeptabel. Ausserdem gibt es auch Zimmer an der Aussenseite, diese haben keinen Balkon und ausserdem auch Verkehrslärm, ebenfalls bis spät und laut an Wochenden weil sich alle dort durchwälzen, die ins Stadtzentrum wollen. Sauberkeit der Zimmer war ok, aber sehr in die Jahre gekommen - sicher 20 Jahre alt und ...
