- Verbesserungswürdig: Sauberkeit und Zustand der Unterkunft
At first they put is in a room where the heating wasn't working at all, in November with temperatures of about 0°C. It turned out they already knew it wasn't working but hadn't told us. When we complained, they did then give us a different room, but it begs the question of why they put us there in the first place. It is not high quality accommodation, the windows are very thin and you can hear street traffic noise. Given it is mostly used by people on stag and hen weekends etc (whereas we were just visiting family nearby), I was worried about noise from other rooms but I have to say we didn't hear anything and didn't have any problems. And once they'd changed our room, it was certainly warm enough. The kitchen seemed to be functional though we didn't really use it. The shower room was small but ok, but not the cleanest. Location wise, there's very little in the area itself but it's not too far from a metro station and taxis to Newcastle city centre are generally easy to book and not expensive. There is limited parking (but enough when we were there), off-street but at the front of the building.
