Ein sehr schönes altes viktorianisches Haus. Die alten Details ziehen sich durch das ganze Haus und machen es einzigartig. Es herrscht dort eine familiäre Atmosphäre. Für Alleinreisende sehr empfehlenswert. Man fühlt sich dort sofort wohl und angekommen.

Etwas auf einem Hügel gelegenes Haus mit einer grandiosen Aussicht aufs Meer und über Nelson. Perfekter Ort zum erholen nach einer Wanderung wie auf dem Heaphy Track. Es ist liebevoll geführt, sauber, ruhig und bietet die Möglichkeit mit anderen Alleinreisenden in Kontakt zu kommen. Ich würde jederzeit wieder diese Unterkunft wählen.

Wunderbarer Ort in Nelson
Traumhaftes, altes Haus, traumhafte Aussich, sehr persönlich und sympathisch. Es lohnt sich 20 AUD mehr zu bezahen, dann bekommt man nicht das Bedienstetenzimmer, sondern ein wunderschön eingerichtetes grosses Zimmer. Di Gemeinschaftsbäder sind auch sehr sorgfältig eingerichtet und sauber. Man fühlt sich als willkommener, persönlicher Gast, nicht als Hotelzimmebenutzer. Ich wäre sehr gerne länger geblieben... Falls ich wieder mal nach Nelson kommen sollte, werde ganz sich wieder dort buchen.

Eine Perle in Nelson
Ein wunderschönes historisches Haus auf einem Hügel. Das Zimmer war einfach, aber ausreichend (2 Einzelbetten) für die reine Übernachtung. Der Gemeinschaftsbereich ist sehr groß und gut eingerichtet. Internet ist frei, Küche und Wohnzimmer mit Fernseher stehen zur freien Benutzung bereit. Drei Bäder bieten ausreichend Platz und sind durchgehend sehr sauber, wie auch das gesamte Haus. Ein solides Frühstück war über die Expedia-Buchung inklusive. Keine enge Hostel-, sondern eher zwanglose Villen-Atmosphäre. Sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.

Lovely Historic Homestead
Delightful character home. Parking is down a long driveway which google does not direct you too.....I ended up at their neighbours. Room comfortable, shared bathroom had shower and bath. Couldn't find anyone at reception.

This is a great old house with an amazing atmosphere. Close to the centre of town with out the noise and hassle. The view is to die for and the fellow guests great company. A great experience if you don't mind sharing bathrooms.

charming house but very noisy
The antique house was really fascinating to walk into and explore the hallways. But the actual comfort was not amazing. The bed was low quality, carpet in the bathroom, and worst of all the walls were paper thin. I enjoyed the incredibly loud snoring come from the neighbor room the whole night .... the price is great, but I rest was hard to find at this place.

This accommodation is basic and nice, good value for a private bedroom. However, the GPS brought me to the number of street where the accommodation located, but actually the accommodation located on the hill behind the neighbour.

A wonderful home from home
This is an outstanding house, lovingly maintained, extremely comfortable, and gives you the feeling you are welcome house guests rather than customers. The elevated views from windows, terrace and balcony are delightful, just 10 minutes walk from town, with the beautiful Queens Gardens very close by. Excellent kitchen/dining/lounge facilities, and friendly owners and staff who work hard to provide a unique holiday experience. Excellent value and a real delight!

Great place to meet other solo travelers. EAsy walking distance to town and right next to start of the walk to Center of NZ (closed due to fire risk). Historic building adds character. Set on a hillside it had great views over the city.

A cut above
Fwllworth is a good option if you are on a budget but are tired of sleeping in dorms. The house is a short walk from central Nelson and can be spotted on the hillside from a couple of streets away.

I booked the modest room. It was nicely located at the end of the hall so was quiet and bright with natural light. The bathrooms were roomy, modern, nice, and very clean. This place is a converted old Victorian so it has some old house noises but very charming. The house is very convenient to downtown, activities, grocery, and restaurants. The shared kitchen and dining area are well appointed and roomy with everything you need to cook for yourself. While I didn't get any response to my emails prior to my stay, they were responsive once I was there. Very much enjoyed my stay here.

Finding the entrance to the hotel was difficult, clearer signage on the road to direct staff to the front door would be helpful. Staff allowed me to check in early so I could sleep which I appreciated. Unusual setup - the building is a dentist, hotel and also has a juice caravan out front. While I was unsure about the hotel on arrival, I really enjoyed my stay. While I shared a bathroom, the hotel had plenty of bathrooms to share/use, so no waiting. The views from the hotel decks were amazing. Hotel also close to good walking tracks and close to the main town. Hotel also had a good feel, all guests were respectful and conformed to cleaning up after themselves. Hotel attracted mature guests 40-50-60s.

Beautiful character stay that was affordable.
A great relaxing place to stay, especially after walking the Abel Tasman. Soaking in the claw-foot bath and sleeping in a spacious bed amongst my highlights. Easy access to town or to a local neighbourhood bar, the staff and facilities were fantastic. I would gladly and easily return for another visit.
