A convenient cozy getaway! Located in uphill Nelson, a short 10 min walk from historic Baker street where you can find excellent dining, great shopping, brew pubs and a vibrant night life. Situated a short bike or walk to the historic ¨Rails-to-Trails¨, this lovely suite is very close to some of the most amazing mountain biking and hiking trails in BC. We are a short drive to Kootenay Lake. The guests basement suite is located in our lovely family home, we love sharing our space with guests, and hopefully they don’t mind sharing our hot tub as well.

Wonderful

We had a wonderful time in Nelson, The flat offers all whats needed , nothing is missing and the Terrasse outside is a wonderful Place for the Coffe in the Morning or what ever …The flat is near to Downtown - you can also walk down the Mountain by feet - thats wonderful. The property was pretty, inside was fairly clean. But the ad says hottub so most people would assume (even thou the ad states there’s a family up stairs) to most a hottub stated in the ad would mean we get to use the hottub but no this was not the case, the teenagers were in it on our last eve, sat, we send owner a message ( he lives up stairs) he must have read what I wrote to his son( which was in hottub, with his girlfriend) because he son STOMPED across above us then stomped down the stairs very loudly saying “ this is a shared hottub, we are a family and silly things like that but his tone was definitely anger, he made it a very uncomfortable situation, owner did refund 50 but that’s nothing compared to our ruined and uncomfortable last evening there, quite a shame because the owner does seem nice, he needs to put in ad shared hottub, cause we wouldn’t have even stayed there but Nelson itself is a piece of heaven, just sucks our experience at the end was made uncomfortable and wanting to leave and get out of there without seeing or even hearing more rudeness from the son

It was overall a really easy and pleasant place to stay. The kids (1 and 3yo) enjoyed the hot tub and burned a ton of energy on the trampoline. The bedroom was quite large so we could set up 2 pack-n-plays easily. We cooked almost every day and the kitchen was well stocked with all of the pots/pans and even condiments that we could want. There is loads of parking but it is on a steep hill. The steep hill was a little treacherous walking to and from town with the kiddos even with a stroller. There is a park about 2 blocks up the hill with a spash pad and playground that the kids enjoyed. There was a regular aroma of cannabis that I didn't love with the kids. Beyond this, we had a really excellent time and we appreciate Andrew's patience with our loud and boisterous kids. I would definitely recommend staying here and we would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. Upstairs was a little noisy sometimes but we were in basement. Sooooo. Had all amenities as advertised. Master bed needs a newer mattress. Overall we would stay again.

Nice quite location. Beautiful flowers. Backyard was great with the hot tub and the sounds from the creek below. Nice, clean home. Bed on the firm side, but comfortable. Only down side would be the short doorways and shower. If over 6' tall, you might bump your head. We would rent the home again.

Great space for family with young kids!

We had a great time staying here! It was the perfect space for our family of 4 (2 kids). The murphy bed was a fun sleep option for our 8 and 3.5 year old. We loved the hot tub as an activity after skiing at Whitewater, which was very easy to get to from our location. The space is actually bigger than the pictures indicate with great storage for gear. Andrew was really enjoyable to interact with and offered a lot of local knowledge and suggestions for us. We hope to use his space again in the future!

Perfect little weekend getaway to beautiful Nelson

My husband and son and I got the chance to go to Nelson for the weekend and had the opportunity to stay in this cute little getaway. The Roads are steep and no joke up to the house, but Canada does a great job with their snow removal and putting down sand to help with the ice. Andrew was really attentive and great. He shoveled the walk for us and kept the hot tub ready for us. It was a great hotub and the place was perfect for my little family. It had everything we could ask for. We hope to visit Nelson again many more times. Its out new favorite place and Andrews house is in a great location..

Super spacious accommodations

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It is a lovely walk downhill to downtown. The hot tub in the garden was a real treat to relax in after a long drive. At the apartment we had ample space and everything we needed was there including laundry facilities. I would happily stay here again if we are ever in the area. Good communications from Andrew, the host, too.

Perfect long weekend getaway!

Such a cozy, charming place to stay! The space was larger than it looks in the photos and felt private, but also provided easy access to downtown Nelson. Great place to stay if you want to be self-sufficient with meals etc. Comfy beds. Murphy bed is really big and comfy. Hot tub was great for post skiing. Everything you need. Well-laid out use of space.

Family Christmas in Nelson

We had an awesome stay! The property was perfect! Andrew was great! He has an excellent assortment of local history books, the paintings and art work on the walls were beautiful and all local artists. The hot tub was a treat. The kitchen was very well equipped in this spacious suite! We are already planning our next visit to Nelson at Andrew’s!
