„Proper country pub great food and ale and quiet location“

„This was the perfect place to stay for a special event at nearby Wymondham College. I was warmly (well, it was during the heatwave!) and cheerfully greeted by Tracey. My room was clean, well-prepared and provided me with all the facilities I required. It was extremely competitively priced. My thanks to the staff concerned for their part in a really memorable weekend.“

„My favourite East Anglian hotel - recently refurbished, just as friendly and welcoming. As usual there were all sorts here, it's a proper 'local' - good food, good beer, good cheer! Lots of interesting opinions - all topical issues covered and easily overheard. „We had a great stay, with everything we needed. Exceeded expectations and will certainly book again if in the area. Very convenient with on site parking and an easy walk into the city centre.“

„We only stayed for one night but it was brilliant. The cupcakes, milk and eggs left for us were a really lovely touch. My granddaughter was so sad to leave that we will bring the whole family next summer.“

„We had a comfortable overnight stay (very comfortable bed!). Having been to a wedding reception that day, we didn’t want much to eat, but found just what we wanted, even though the menu is not extensive. The food was good and the fish and chips are obviously a popular choice, and looked delicious. Breakfast was good. Staff very helpful and friendly.“
