Wir haben hier zwei Übernachtungen mit Frühstück gehabt. Das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr umfangreich und bot eine gute Auswahl an. Hier kann jeder etwas finden :) Zu Abend haben wir nur einen Abend im dortigen Restaurant gegessen, da wir schon erschöpft von der Anreise waren. Umliegend findet man auch tolle Möglichkeiten regionales zu verköstigen :) also wer nicht unbedingt ins Restaurant möchte, wird auch fündig. Wir empfehlen das Hotel um die Gegend Mývatn zu erkunden

Durchschnittliches Hotel zu überhöhten Preisen
Sehr sauberes, einfaches Hotel mit gutem aber nicht überdurchschnittlichem Standard in guter Lage direkt am Mývatn. Ausgelegt ist das Hotel auf die Unterbringung größerer Reisegruppen (damit wird es Islands neuem Massentourismus gerecht). Betten, Bad, Frühstück und Restaurant sind gut. Einzig der Preis ist selbst für hiesige Verhältnisse unangemessen hoch. Wer zu dem Preis etwas Besonderes erwartet, wird enttäuscht.

Ein schönes Hotel in einer traumhaften Umgebung.
Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer war sehr komfortabel, das Frühstück wie auch das Abendessen ausgezeichnet und die Umgebung ist wunderschön. Und es stimmt wirklich; auch wenn man das Fenster offen lässt, die Mücken kommen nicht ins Zimmer!

This propery is right on the lake and across the street from the pseodocraters. Su h a nice walk even in the brisk air. The restaurant in the hotels serves a delicious dinner and dessert. There breakfast spread was enormous and the food was delicious.

We were snowed in during our stay and the hotel staff was great and kept us updated on when the roads would reopen. The food is excellent also

Receptionists are very friendly. We arrived early before the allowed check in time however, they accommodated our request. Room was very spacious. It was warm however during the course of the night it really got so warm. Overall it was great! One thing, the dinner buffet was pricey for the selection of food.just saying!!!

Really enjoyed our stay here compared to other places in the area. Sel Hotel was right across the street from a nice trail to walk along the lake and see some craters, as well as sheep! Our roomwas nice, breakfast was ok, dinner was quite good!

The hotel and the staff were fabulous! They woke us up (as requested) to see the Northern Lights. Dinner in the dining room was the best we had in Iceland.

Place was very nice, staff was excellent. They called us out to see the northern lights, because very unusual given the time of year in early September. Enjoy playing darts, watching sports on TV in addition to see if anything phenomenon.
