Tolle Hotelanlage mit Poolanlage
Gute Lage mit vielen Restaurants in der Nähe. Umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet. Gute Taxianbindung. Toller Poolgarten mit Service. Immer ausreichend Liegen vorhanden. Direkter Strandzugang mit Möglichkeit länger Strandwanderungen. Während des Ramadans tags leider nur ein Restaurant geöffnet. Kein Alkoholausschank außer Minibar während des Ramadan. Zu den Stoßzeiten während des Frühstücks kam es leider zu einer Unterversorgung mit Geschirr bzw. teils chaotischem Service. Unser Zimmer war in einwandfreiem, neuem Zustand. Andere Einrichtungen des Hotels erschienen leicht in die Jahre gekommen zu sein.

Top Lage in hässlichem Hotel.
Das Interconti gehört wohl von aussen zu den hässlichsten Hotels. Waschbeton und nirgendwo auf dem Hotelgelände einen schönen Blick auf die Beach - nicht beim Frühstück und nicht beim Abendessen, alles sehr lieblos gestaltet - die Aussenanlagen. Leider auch häufig sehr laut. Die Vorteile sind: Kostenloser Parkplatz, gute Zimmer mit Meerblick und Balkon, Super Frühstück, zu Fuss zur Oper und an den Strand.

Uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert! Das Personal im interconti ist wie erwartet sehr aufmerksam und äußerst freundlich. Das Frühstück hat sehr gute Auswahl und zu meiner Überraschung und Freude waren sogar glutenfreie Brote und Kuchen vorhanden. Die anderen Restaurants haben wir nicht oder nicht oft besucht. Die pools sind okay wobei wir lieber ins Meer schwimmen waren. Ich habe mir eine fuss reflexology Massage am letzten Tag geben lassen und diese wurde von einer netten und erfahrenen Thai therapistin durchgeführt. Lediglich der Preis ist oberhalb der Spa preise in Europa aber das ist ein Norm in Oman. Die Umgebung des Hotels ist sehr schön, der Strand ist sehr sauber ( keine liegen / bring your own towels), und man kann fußläufig einige Sehenswürdigkeiten ( opera haus) und Restaurants ( günstige Internationale Küche zbs KFC ) erreichen.

Property was very clean. Room was spacious and staff was accommodating. Access to the public beach from the pool grounds and close to the opera house. Breakfast was just so-so. They were short on seating, plates, glasses, and always out of drinks. Both mornings we had nothing to drink at breakfast. Only one morning we managed to get a coffee.

Sustainability effort in the right direction
It was so nice to find refillable glass bottles with water for the room in the minibar. I appreciate this effort as it is far more sustainable than giving plastic water bottles! The staff were all extremely helpful, kind and friendly. The hotel is neat, clean and very well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and will return in future!

Room lovely , staff not so friendly and I was travelling alone which I don’t think helps . After a week in Oman and I had looked at a couple of the other large hotels before my stay in the Intercontinental, I wish I had stayed at the Crown Plaza or the W . The location of the Intercontinental is great though close to the Opera house

A fabulous week at the Intercontinental. The staff are outstanding, friendly and helpful - particularly in the club lounge. Rooms were to a high standard and very comfortable. A great variety of dining options - we tried all of them and particularly enjoyed Takara and Trader Vics. Easy access to the beach which was a lovely evening walk. Highly recommend.

Very good service, good facilities, noisy at night
3 nights in November for some sunshine and relaxation prior to starting a trip. Very comfortable room, great breakfast, lovely pool area, variety fo restaurants. But, lots of party noise from the rooftop restaurant of W Muscat hotel next door (InterContinental kindly moved me to another room); the main hotel building is strangely disconnected from the pool areas (perhaps because it is principally a business hotel with holiday facilities tagged on?); no alcohol free beer available.

Hotel molto bello, pulito, con camere spaziose. Personale gentile e disponibile. Avevo chiesto una camera un po’ “speciale” per il compleanno di mio marito, magari con la vista sul mare. Al check-in mi rispondono ok (ma ho avuto l’impressione che non abbia capito la richiesta, che comunque avevo già fatto via mail) ma una volta entrati in stanza, mi ritrovo con la vista sul parcheggio esterno. Va beh!
