„Even though the weather wasn’t great, the cabin was clean and cozy. Screened in porch was so nice to just sit, read and enjoy the rain. We were hoping to get to use the fire pit outside but winds prevented that. Will keep this on our list of places to stay in the future.“

„Our church group had a great time at the cabin. It is definitely large enough for 30 people with plenty of parking spots. Definitely recommend for those looking to go as a large group. Plus location is great as it is very close for things skiing or sledding. “

„It was perfect. It’s conveniently located near Banner Elk restaurants and the park, as well as other activities. Decorated in a welcoming mountain style with lots of bear accents, it had everything we needed. My husband and I had a relaxing visit and plan to return. Lisa (the owner) was a great communicator and made me feel like we were already friends!“

„For the cost of what we paid for the rental, it was fantastic. It has 2 great outdoor spaces, with a top and lower deck. It is small, but enough space for what we needed. It needs a few simple things, that I noticed others mention, like more towels. We are 60 guest and had to maneuver to get up the outdoor steps and to get in to the high ledge bath tub/showers. We found the furniture and beds comfortable. The kitchen had just about anything you could use, but a big pot to boil spaghetti. We ...

„Loved our stay at your property, beautiful home, very clean, and tastefully decorated, beds was comfortable, the view was amazing, we spent a lot of time on the deck listening to the birds, taking in the views of the mountains and enjoying the hot tub. „The stay was relaxing and tucked away up on the top of the mountain. Everything we needed to cook and we enjoyed the warm welcome with a bottle of wine & chocolate. The deck was my favorite part, plenty of room and comfortable patio furniture, our puppy loved the plush woods and the small trail to a picnic area. You definitely need a vehicle to climb ruff terrain, steep hills, and sharp turns. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway, thank you Matt and Chris!“

I had higher expectations...

"I had slightly higher expectations before arriving at the hotel. The check-in staff were fine, but I was hoping for a bit more of that Southern hospitality. When we got to our room, we noticed a lot of noise from the road, so we went back down to request a room change, which they handled without any issues—this was fantastic. The room itself was quite nice, with a very comfortable bed, though the bathroom was a bit small but functional. I also want to highlight the number and quality of the towels, which were excellent. Unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the breakfast much. It was impossible to avoid single-use plastic, which, as Europeans, we find difficult due to the amount of waste it generates. The dining area also felt a bit drab and uninviting. Another downside was the housekeeping. Despite requesting, confirming, and leaving the sign on the door for daily cleaning, we returned one evening to find that no one had come to clean the room, which was disappointing."
