Mitten im Zentrum von Modena

Sehr nettes B&B zentral gelegen. Es hilft, wenn etwas italienisch kann, da die Besitzerin kein englisch spricht. Ich bin früher angekommen, als angekündigt. Neben der Klingel war ein Schild mit einer Telefonnummer und die Besitzerin war fünf Minuten später da, um mich reinzulassen. Auch am nächsten Morgen war sie sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und sauber. Auch hatte sie eine Schale mit Obst, Kleinigkeiten zum Frühstück sowie Wasser und Kaffee bereitgestellt. Netter Willkommensgruß.

慣れれば、よい宿。洗濯機もあり。

住所たどり着いたがホテルの看板がないため、近所に聞きしばらく待って管理人が出てきた。エレベータがなく３階だったので重いスーツケースを持っての上がり降りはきつかった。部屋の鍵の使い方が特殊で十分な説明がなかったため最初は苦労した。管理者のホスピタリティを求めたい。部屋自体はまずまず清潔で大きな問題はなし。市内へのアクセスも良好。

Unsuccessful stay.

We requested an early check in but never heard from hotel. We called hotel at 11:30am and knocked on door several times and no one was there to check us in. We later tried at 5:30pm and waited outside for 30 minutes before eventually leaving and finding other accommodations.

The place has no elevator and I was on the last top floor. The cleaning is done once in every three days. While the staff are friendly and trying best to help, I did not like the place because of the above issues.

Great for an overnight stay. Near shopping places and cultural sites were only a short walk away. Manager was friendly, but hardly spoke English. Only negative was that our room was all the way up the top floor, so we had to lug heavy luggage up 7 flights of stairs! Manager helped us though, so great service. Room was clean, bed was comfy, there was even a stove, fridge, and air-conditioning.

An unconventional place to stay

It's important to know this is not a conventional hotel or bed & breakfast, in fact, there's no catering here, and no reception desk. It's a set of small serviced apartments, with oven, stove, microwave, kettle and even a washing machine in the rooms. If that's what you want, this is a charming place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and Google Translate made up for our limited overlap in languages! It's on a little back street, convenient walking distance from the city centre, restaurants, cafes etc. And just around the corner is the Largo Garibaldi bus stop, from where you can easily get to other places, like the train station. There were drinks in the fridge, and fresh fruit on the table. If you don't want to be eating out for every meal, this is all great! Any negatives? Well, I was one floor up on the street side, and there was quite a lot of noise at times when the windows were open,.. children yelling in the afternoon, car doors slamming in the early morning. It's not a busy street, far from it, but that makes individual noises more noticeable. I suspect the back rooms, or the ones higher up, would suffer less from this, and when the windows *were* shut, the sound-proofing was good. And the bathroom was a bit cramped, but it all worked fine, and it's just a side-effect of the slightly eccentric architecture. Lastly, the internet connection was often painfully slow. But, all in all, I enjoyed my stay and the location is very good.

Very nice apartment close to city center

Studio with everything you need and more. Very close to city center, great bars and restaurants around the corner. Free minibar and snacks. Very quiet. Fantastic bed and bathroom with rain and massage shower. Great hosts! Would certainly stay again.

Great hotel for those only needing a short stay.

Lucia greeted us as we pulled up to the hotel. She was very pleasant and helpful. She gave us everything we needed and also gave us a way to contact her on Whats-App. She really seems like the perfect person to represent Italy. The room (studio apartment) was on the small side, but that suited us perfectly. The mini fridge was stocked, and the stove worked great for making coffee. Location is spot-on. Parking is 2.5 blocks away. Lucia had us follow her car to show us how to get there. Seriously, she is a wonderful employee. She really made our stay in Modena special. Lucia, my wife says if you ever visit San Diego, Ca, she wants to have you over to our house for dinner!

Via masone is perfectly placed for centre of Modena. The room had two single beds. Extremely clean, air con, lovely hostess. Would definitely stay there again. Only grumble single room faced to back of house.

Could not sleep

Unfortunately we did not sleep well at this hotel. It could be that due to our room's location we heard the other guests coming and going. That wouldn't have been so bad but the people staying above us stayed up until 2am each night and due to the sound of foot stomping we could not fall asleep. Then at 6:30am on both nights we heard loud banging coming from next to us, I presume this was the cleaner's area. so while the room was okay and the location okay we would not stay here again due to noise.

Very bad area we would not check in rather forfeit payment and went some where else. Don't go there if you have children.
