My daughter, myself and two grandchildren stayed here from the 20th - 27th July. From the start to the end, Lorena ensured our holiday went smoothly and was available for any questions that we had. She also very kindly provided us with bread, milk, tea, butter, cake, salad and a delicious potato omelette as we were arriving after 10pm. It was very welcome and we really appreciated it. Lorena really couldn't do enough for us and is a great host.
The house was lovely, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We had everything we needed for our holiday. The outside space was fantastic and we loved having breakfast under the shade giving sail. We also sat out in the evening, lit candles and enjoyed the warm summer air. As the weather was in the 30s, we were so thankful for the air conditioning and for me who suffers badly from mosquito bites, was delighted that there were screens on the windows.
The village itself is very pretty and is well served by bars and restaurants. There are a good choice of pubs close by as well, Streets of London is great if you have children and The Captain's serve a very nice Sunday lunch.
The pool was of course the highlight for the children and we spent almost every day there. The only hitch was that the residents can be a bit pedantic and unfriendly, where children are concerned. There are endless rules regarding what you are not allowed to do. Unfortunately, not all of them are made public, so a few times over the week holiday makers fell foul of the "Pool Police" and got a telling off for bringing rubber rings into the pool - inflatables are not allowed. Whereas, the rules are generally fine and make sense if the pool is busy, it would be helpful if they were either made clear to visitors when they arrive at the pool or even better, if they were included in the booking information. Having said that, it didn't detract from our enjoyment.
Overall, we had a wonderful holiday, would definitely recommend the house and would stay here again.
Thank you Lorena and good luck with the baby
