White Cottage is a characterful detached cottage in the pretty village of Old Dalby, recently renovated and lovingly styled by its owners to create a welcoming home-from-home. The country kitchen/diner provides a sociable space for meals together, while the cosy living room, complete with a wood burner, is perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the nearby Leicestershire Wolds. The conservatory doubles as a games room, with table football and interchangeable games, and French doors opening onto the patio and garden.

Upstairs are four individually styled bedrooms: two kingsize bedrooms, one benefiting from an en-suite shower room, a single with a day bed, a double with access from one side, and a family bathroom with shower-over-bath.

Set within the rolling Leicestershire countryside, Old Dalby makes a wonderful base for discovering this often-overlooked corner of the Midlands. Close by, Six Hills offers the chance to embrace the outdoors with wild swimming and a wood-fired sauna beside its lake – a memorable way to unwind surrounded by nature.
