Sehr hilfsbereites Personal.
Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit...was Auskunft bezüglich Unternehmungen angeht und auch als meine Freundin privat ein Fax benötigte. Zimmer sehr geräumig. Küche könnte etwas besser ausgestattet sein.

Denis was always friendly and helpful--even helping me connect my computer to the internet when I was having tech issues. His assistant, Cherry, was also friendly and helpful. My daughter enjoyed the heated pool and jacussi. Everything about the hotel was perfect--though I have two suggestions: 1) my mattress was too soft--it would be great if the hotel could provide a futon upon request; 2) the hotel has only 2 washing machines and 2 dryers--not enough for such a big hotel. They should add 1 or two more washing machines and dryers. My heartfelt thanks to the Grand Hotel's friendly and competent staff.

In spite of it being a building of 215 apartments, there are only 50 rooms in the hotel, so hotel guest only have access to the laundry facilities.There is a topper on the mattress which would have accounted for the softness. I liked the Convenience to Southern Cross and airport buses including all public transport. Large comfortable affordable and clean accomodation. The old fashioned sincere friendly staff and serviceis a breath of fresh air. Some areas , kitchens, feel a little tired.

Beautiful old building, spacious rooms with high ceilings and stunning long internal hallways. Great value and easy to move around the city from here with free trams in the city block. Very little city noise which was surprising. All staff were lovely, check-in was fast and checkout easy too. I'd recommend this to anyone

Excellent hotel with extremely spacious rooms. Very accommodating staff. The pool was terrific and kept a very comfortable warm temperature for swimming lengths. Would definitely recommend it and would stay here again.

Staff are wonderful and very helpful , but the room itself was quite dated. Comfy bed, the TV didn't get reception, and no pay tv options. Aircon was loud and it looked like one of the powerpoints in the bathroom had burnt. Otherwise nice room and close to everything .

It was so refreshing to stay at an establishment with old fashioned values and personalised service. My partner and i stayed at the Grand for 2 nights and could not fault it at all. Dennis the owner had a personalised card hand written on the desk in our apartment when we arrived as well as a fine selection of chocolates. During our stay we contacted to see if eveything was satisfactory which is something that never happens anymore, it was great to be treated as a human and not just a number, we will definitely be back soon. Thankyou to Dennis and all of his staff for making our stay memorable

Conveniently located between Southern Cross Station and Melbourne Convention Centre, close to tram stops. Denis and his staff are welcoming and happy to provide assistance when needed. Our room was clean and tidy with a little welcome note on arrival. The building is a gorgeous old lady with lots of history and hidden gems. We loved the pool for late evening wind downs.

It was nice and close to everything, quite noisy as the train line is basically next to hotel. Shower could have done with a decent scrub. The bed was so soft we basically ended up sinking in it.

The room was nice enough, but the facilities were anything but "grand". Sauna, gym, and the associated changerooms looked like they were ready for demolition and definitely hadn't been cleaned in a long while. There were no towels and no ability to clean gym equipment after use. All in all not great value for a significant price, especially not when compared to other hotels in the area. The whole place exuded a slightly daggy and worn vibe. I would suggest a new name: "Faded Glory Hotel".
