Our stay was good for only 1 night. Close to Box Hill Shopping center if you're looking to stay on that side of town. About a 20 minute drive to Chadstone Shopping Center. There is parking but it's a bit of a pain to get into and out of. Service was good, easy and quick check in and check out. Pretty run of the mill booking for us.

The Chen runs on the HAPPY personality of this vietnamese lady running the front office . She will do her Best to assist customers . Thk u lady . The Boxhill central mall is great for asian food ,thats all . This mall could invite sports goods shop to be anchor tenant !! Add on a childrens play grd .

We spent four nights this summer. The hotel is located in a high-rise apartment building in the center of Box Hill, a major Asian community neighborhood. Excellent location within minutes walk to shopping mall, restaurants and Box Hill train/tram station. You could find almost any type of Chinese cuisines. Pubic transport is very convenient. We took train to downtown, beach and zoos. The room is a bit small for the family but it provides everything we need.

We really liked this hotel. We had a little trouble with parking, but it was solved quickly & easily. I think that the instructions regarding parking could be more clear when booking. We would have also appreciated bottles of water in the room.

The Chen hotel was a good place to stay . The rooms were an adequate size,well sized bathrooms . The only problem was the traffic noise was loud at the busy times. With the bedding the doona was marked and looked like it hadn't been washed in a while. The sheets were clean otherwise and there were choices of extra blankets if needed. The rooftop for sunsets almost 360 degree views.

Great location. Good pool. Parking was better on this occasion with spots available. Front desk staff nice but service is awful if you actually need anything (front desk staff however apologetic). Easy check in and check out. Overall good value and we will continue to visit.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Car parking was very easy. Shops close by and an easy walk to RSL for Bistro meal or other eating options close by. Close to Epworth and Box Hill Hospitals and tram to city at front door.

This is apartment marketed as Hotel. Very lovely check in staff. The car park was difficult to understand and navigate but got there in the end. I feel Art Series hotel marketing was misleading. There was no restaurant as part of The Chen, breakfast or room service or coffee in morning until cafe opened at 8pm. The bed was lovely and nice decor. The shower was awesome but hair in bathroom left by previous person or cleaner: The room not serviced unless you call and no mention of paid car park or I would gone elsewhere for the cost: I think and my opinion there needs to be a better information on your main website. This hotel has exceeded my expectations. It was easy to get to and super accessible to everything. They made you feel like it was your own home. Staff were friendly and courteous and always willing to help. No faults or negative comments about how I was treated here and the facilities are impeccable. If you want to stay at a hotel that is not too far from the CBD, The Chen is the place to be at.
