Pros, The property is very chic and pretty and Daniela (front desk) is very nice and tries to accommodate your needs. They will call taxis for you. Bed is comfortable Cons: let’s begin by basic human needs Water, we got 3 small bottles of water for our entire stay which was 4 days. When we requested water in the front desk they told us the kitchen is closed so we had to wait until the next day from 10pm until following day or drink Tap water. They charge for Room service even if is just room service for coffee or water (which we tried getting on the 4th day we were there. Water. The bathroom has no privacy as the doors are clear glass. The breakfast doesn’t have much choice only 3 options and the coffee is very watery unless you purchase espresso (which we did) I was in the 3rd floor so music wasn’t really a problem for us.

The Hotel was in a great location near to a lot of restaurants and also near to everything, The staff was extra friendly and very professional. The breakfast was EXCELLENT and Delicious. Somos is a small boutique hotel, room is trendy but size is definitely on a smaller side. Hotel staffs are friendly and if you send them a whatsapp, they will always answer your questions promptly. The location of the hotel is nice, lots of cafes and restaurants surrounded.

I adore the aesthetics of this hotel! It's unique, eye catching design of the hotel and the rooms made our stay memorable. It's in a quiet neighborhood, yet a close walk to Provenza where there is nightlife and restaurants. Rooms were clean, front desk was helpful and sweet. The rooftop bar/restaurant is one of the best I've ever seen too and has the best mojito of my life. If I had to nit pick, the only complaint I could think of is the bathroom lighting is not the best for makeup application. Otherwise a 10/10 hotel, room, and location!

I would rate everything 5 stars except for the fact that Friday night was really noisy with the party and music that lasted until 00:00 hours. I was supposed to check-out at 04:00 due to my flight and because of this I got only 3 hours of sleep. I would highly recommend this place during weekdays. However, if you want a silent place avoid it on Fridays and Saturdays.

Un espacio muy lindo y confortable. La habitación a pesar de ser un “pilín” pequeña para mi gusto fue muy confortable; almohadas, cama y lencería muy cómodas y un staff siempre dispuesto a ayudar. La zona es tranquila y segura, cerca de todo. Definitivamente volvería sin pensarlo dos veces.

Working in lobby area was very uncomfortable. downstairs lobby area display that there is ability to get a cocktail- but not available. This hotel provides a clean and basic stay, however tends impersonal in key areas. Phones go unanswered, preventing guests from clarifying amenities - for instance, their google listing advertises free airport transport, but charges apply. Breakfast options are very limited as well. The front desk staff are pleasant but lack detailed tourism recommendations to assist visitors. Our room's shower leak got "repaired" yet persisted, while loud bar noise and cigarette smoke from the 6th floor permeated our 5th floor accommodations nightly. Hotels.com couldn't even reach them to advocate on our behalf. I would recommend enhanced staff training on guest communications and hospitality expectations. Upgrading room integrity checks and filtering systems could also curb lingering maintenance issues. While functional, addressing these deficiencies would vastly improve guest satisfaction and recreation guidance to better enjoy our stay.

The staff & their willingness to help, even with the language barrier. Special mention of the excellent srrvice given by Gabriela. The room was always made up daily. It was spacious, (with a walk-out balcony), modern, with very nicely scented soaps, shampoos, etc. The price was great for the room, service etc. The only negative was the noise/music coming from the restaurant upstairs. Many diverse dining options available within a 6 min. walk. Highly recommend!

Favorite Shirt Stolen From Room
The cleaning staff at the hotel stole one of my shirts. I left it out in the morning, it wasn't there when we came back, we flipped the entire room upside down and emptied both of our suitcases and the shirt was nowhere to be found. When I reported it to the frontdesk I told them about it, and assumed maybe someone took it by mistake, hoping it would be returned and no harm could be done. The hotel kept saying it would look into it, every time I asked, but never got back to me. Avoid the hotel unless you want someone to go through your things and take what they like.

Tinha tudo para ser excelente, mas não foi.
Descrevo minha experiência como decepcionante. Tinha tudo para ser uma experiência 100% satisfatória (os funcionários são muito gentis, a decoração do hotel é linda, o quarto amplo), mas nos últimos dias de hospedagem o quarto virou uma churrasqueira. Tivemos que dormir em um espaço com muito cheiro de fumaça de churrasco, que me deixou muito desconfortável a ponto de levar ao conhecimento da recepção e escrever no direct do Instagram do hotel. Ontem, após nosso checkout e chegada no aeroporto fiquei ainda mais enfurecido. Ao encontrar uma amiga que fará o roteiro de Bogota conosco, fomos questionamos se havíamos ficado perto de algum incêndio, pois a nossa roupa estava com cheiro muito forte de fumaça - que já nem percebíamos, pois estávamos há dias imersos naquele ambiente. Chegamos em Bogota, no hotel, ao tirar as roupas da mala, está tudo com cheiro de fumaça. Nossos próximos dias de viagem serão com roupas fedidas. Isso é inadmissível. Se o hotel já sabia que havia um problema estrutural, que estava distribuindo a fumaça da churrasqueira para os quartos, como afirmou o funcionário da recepção, por qual motivo permitiram o evento? Deveriam ter cancelado. Era tão forte a fumaça que era possível até ver no feixe de luzes do quarto, conforme foto que enviei no Instagram do hotel. Fizeram festa no rooftop e nos deixaram com a maior parte de nossas roupas defumadas. Eu odeio sair fedendo e agora meus 6 últimos dias de férias serão assim: Cheirando a fumaça.

The staff is amazing, the whole vibe is great. Super clean as well. Don't miss your breakfast, they do a great job with the presentation and the flavors were really an unexpected surprise. Best included breakfast ever! Wifi is fast and allowed me to upload some videos with ease. 10/10 keep the good work.

Perfect stay in Medellin!
We were SO happy we found The Somos Bold. The location is perfect—in a charming and quieter part of El Poblado, but still full of cute cafes and amazing restaurants, and a 15-min walk to the metro. The hotel is beautiful, with a brand new roof bar with incredible views, and the room was super comfortable—great bed and shower, and we had a private balcony with a jacuzzi! And the service was impeccable. The front desk staff were so friendly, warm, and attentive. We felt so taken care of and had a wonderful visit. We hope to return!
