We very much enjoyed the stay. Fantastic environment, great staff. The restaurant was far better than expected - keep in mind this is not Cape Town. We have been here more than 20 years ago, the rondavells were unchanged but the chalets look better than that time. The walks are challenging when it’s hot - it was hot. The ressort grounds are huge, I did 8km joggings (keep the mind of the gradients!) without leaving it. It was pretty calm when we were there, only at the Saturday of our stay plus a bus tour frightened away the sleepiness during the other days. We loved the stay!

Lage ist super an der Panoramastraße. Die Anlage ist sehr weitläufig mit 2 Ausichtspunkten zu den Three Rondavels. Wandermöglichkeiten vom Hotel weg und auch in der Hotelanlage ist viel geboten. Das Abendessen in Buffet oder a la Carte und war gut. Frühstück ist auch zu empfehlen.

Die Lage war sehr gut. Man konnte zu Fuß zu mehreren Wanderwegen starten und wurde mit herrlichem Blicken belohnt. Die Wohnung ist lschon etwas abgenutzt. Leider hatten wir bei der Ankunft am Abend einen Stromausfall auf dem ganzen Gelände und im Haus. Notlicht oder Taschenlampe wäre dringend notwendig gewesen.

Our room was very dirty, especially the bathroom, there were disgusting stains on the toilet lid and the toilet smelled. It was very cold at night. The furniture has seen better days. The style was similar to the huts of San Park but even those were cleaner. From outside the grounds and „chalets“ looked nice. Do not go to the restaurant in the Resort, I know there aren’t many options close by, but the buffet (the staff made I clear that a la carte would be more or less the same food) was the worst food I ever tasted in South Africa. I would recommend staying in Graskop, they have nice restaurants there. The only good things were the pool, the great trail and the upper viewpoint for sunrise.

We had 1 night there and it was beautiful. The resort is a really huge area. In the morning we had still enough time to do a walk to the view points before check-out time (11:00).

- we had no electricity during our stay and asked for a discount but didn't get anything till now (2 weeks and 1 day after our stay). If we won't get a discount it is a pretty poor price-performance ratio. There are a lot of things to do so it might be OK if you want to use it. - too expensive if you just want to sleep there for one night and don't use any of the activities there. - nice staff - can't say anything about the room because we didn't see it as it was all dark during our stay - great viewing points - great hiking trails - the pool was cold and dirty (might be the case because there was no electricity) - they offer a lot of activities (hiking, mini golf, pool, viewing points, billards, ...)

Nettes Resort für Durchreisende
Für eine Durchreise ist es echt empfehlenswert. Es ist bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, aber die Unterkunft bietet soweit alles was man braucht. Die Hiking Trails sind gut erreichbar. Wir waren im September vor Ort und das ist scheinbar außerhalb der Saison, deswegen hatten wir dieses riesige Resort für uns alleine.

Hotel mitten im Blyde River Canyon
Das Hotel ist inzwischen etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es ist trotzdem sauber und ordentlich. Die Anlage ist sehr sehr groß und alle Unterkünfte sind kleine Hütten, mit eigenem Parkplatz, küchenecke, Sitzgelegenheit und Schlafraum. Vor jeder Unterkunft war ein Grillplatz. Das Essen im Restaurant ist wirklich gut. Preislich ist es auch sehr gut.

Schöne Anlage
Die Anlage war sehr schön und mit tollen, aufregenden (aber anstrendenden!!) Wanderwegen. Das Häuschen war etwas muffig, man kann leider nicht gut lüften da man die Fenster und Türen geschlossen halten soll wegen der Affen. Es war für eine Nacht voll in Ordnung.

It was great to be able to stay over and hike the next day. There is a shop on the premises but it closed before we arrived. The apartment was clean and easy to use. No coffee pot (or French press), but instant is available. The hiking was great!

The natural beauty is wonderful. The accomodations are dated with tiny kitchens, poor kitchen equipment and stained curtains. Beds are fine. I would describe the units generally as clean, and mostly comfortable. Definitely not in the "luxury" category as claimed. Luxury providers do not search their guests' cars when they leave the property. The reason given for the search was to prevent theft of plants and animals. The more likely reason is to prevent theft of microwaves.

Gut: Sauberkeit und Komfort des Zimmers
A great stay!
We had a wonderful stay. The resort is close to many places of attraction which made access very easy. The only issue we had was with the showers/bath which had no curtain and made showers very messy.
