The staff was very friendly and did their best to help answer our questions about where different sites were located. Also, kudos to the bellhop for helping to deal with some particularly demanding local youth. The (free) breakfast was decent and the dinner (not free) was also good, although a little expensive.
As others have said, the area around this hotel is terrible. It is almost impossible to find, it is far from the main sites in Marrakech, and you will be constantly accosted by local youth demanding money for “directions.” In addition, if you don’t like noise, this isn’t the hotel for you. The central courtyard becomes a bar at night and people were out there talking loudly until after midnight almost every night. Also, the hotel is next door to a mosque so expect to be woken up by the call to prayer (broadcast over loud speakers) every morning around 600.
