„The hotel has it's own charme, directly located at the Cathedral, nicely polished up (since our last visit in 2007), offers very friendly service. The slightly complicated distribution of rooms is owed to the old historic building. No direct car parking in the vicinity, but unloading an loading possible. We sure will come back “

„Alex, the owner, who took over the business from his parents, was very friendly, helpful and caring. The room was lovely, and the bed was very comfortable.The place is especially practical if you travel by ferry either direction and it is a five minute walk up to Dover Castle and a 2 min walk to the shopping and leisure park as well as to many restaurants. Perfect spot! Will definitely come again!! “

„A clean, well-run place. I booked at the last minute, so the email with information on accessing the place was sent by email while I was on the train. Wifi on the train was non-existent, so I had difficulty downloading the information, so I rang the landlord, who was extremely helpful. “

„It's a great retreat. The environment is quiet and chill,, rooms with good view on a grassland with cows & hares getting around. The only thing is the privacy,, since the glass of the window is not shaded and the people passed by could easily see through into your room when you are looking at the beautiful view.“

„Beautiful old building but run down. Cold water not connected to shower and hot water not connected to sink. Needs a thorough cleaning. Carpet needs replacing. No one on duty at front desk. Manager is doing the best he can, very polite and kind. “

„Our double room had the bathroom down the hall, but despite repeated attempts there was no way to shut (or lock) the door from the inside as it was catching badly on the frame. Bath mat in the bathroom wasn't clean. Mirror in the bedroom was leant up against the wall rather than attached, so had to bend over double to use.
