„I loved watching the cubby of quail in the yard while I ate breakfast. I needed another wash cloth. I love sitting out in the evening on the patio, very relaxing. Perfect place to stay before heading to Big Bend.“

„The property was wonderfully decorated and initial supplies plentiful. A very quiet and peaceful experience. The location provided a unique change from our normal flatland home. The only negative involved the loss of internet connection and the contact number provided in the guide for reporting issues did not elicit a response. The outage proved to be a system problem beyond the control of the host. “

„We thought staying in a container house would be fun…and it was! Great location, near all the places we were going: Fort Davis, McDonald Observatory, and both Big Bend parks. Alpine is a great little town with all the amenities you need. And this home was right in the action. The beds were super comfortable too.“

"We stayed here one night on a trip to Carlsbad. Everything ok and we got a bit of a museum feeling. The room was conserved in a state is has been designed maybe 50 years ago - very different to the standardized styles of today. This definitely was a great experience. Our host Danny was absolutely friendly, surprised us with a delicious home-cooked dinner - vegetarian. A good meal in Texas without a steak is possible!! We will remember that stay, thank you Danny. "
