Die Lage des Hotels ist gut. Zum Übernachten ist es ausreichend. Beim Frühstück ist es sehr laut und es ist mit Wartezeiten zu rechnen. Die Sanitäranlagen im Zimmer sind sehr veraltet. Duschen nur mit viel Geschick möglich (Wasserdruck sehr gering) und es gibt nicht mal eine Klobürste. Aber nochmal, zum Übernachten recht es.

Eigentlich kann die Unterkunft nicht viel dafür. Expedia verwendet falsche Bilder und verkauft Zimmer die garnichts mit den Bildern zu tun haben. Macht euch auf eine Beschwerde gefasst. Wegen euch musste ich 4 Nächte in einem Jugendherberge ähnlichen Hotel verbringen. Die Mitarbeiter des Hotels waren zumindest nett und haben versucht mir zu helfen. Aber das was Expedia gemacht hat grenzt an Betrug.

Unser Zimmer war sauber, wenn auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Schiebetür zum Bad war sehr schwergängig, so haben wir sie lieber offen gelassen. Ansonsten gab es nichts zu beanstanden, sehr gute Verkehrsanbindung auch für Busse (ich bin Rollstuhlfahrer) und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Nette und gute Essensoptionen in direkter Nähe. Für "nur" zur Übernachtung reicht das Hotel aus. Die Matratzen waren jedoch bereits so durchgehangen vom Gebrauch, dass man relativ schnell Rückenschmerzen bekommen hat. Das Hotel ist für mich sehr alt und dringend Renovationsbedürftig. Allgemein ist das Hotel sehr Ringhörig. Service Empfang war aber tadellos und gut.

Lage war toll, sehr zentral, U-Bahn direkt um die Ecke, Pubs/ Restaurant in direkter Umgebung. Unterkunft war sauber und völlig in Ordnung, außer der Zustand mancher Zimmertüren im Flur (waren bedenklich z. B. Einbruchspuren, kaputt etc.) Aber da Security in der Halle stand, machten wir uns keine Gedanken. Rezeption, Halle u. Frühstücksraum waren sehr ansprechend, ebenso zu loben wäre das tolle Frühstück Check in und check out, auch die kostenlose Gepäckaufbewahrung und die Freundlichkeit des Personals sind sehr zu loben.

Für ein paar Nächte zu einem Städtetrip völlig ausreichend. Sehr ruhige Lage. Das Haus ist groß und auch schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber von der Ausstattung her in Ordnung. Das Frühstücksbuffet vom Umfang her sowie hinsichtlich Qualität nicht mehr als Basic. Ein Lunchpaket mit einem trockenem Croissant, Apfel, Banane, Joghurt und kleinem Wasser für 15 Pfund war leider ein Witz zum Abschied.

Our room was simple, clean, freshly renovated. We only slept there as we were every day the whole day in the city. Location is great, bus stop basically in front of the hotel, tube station Russel Square behind the corner, 2mins walk, in 15min walking you are in SOHO. Many coffee shops and restaurant in walking distance. Don`t expect any luxury, tho.

Mini-Wasserhahn am Waschbecken, keine Möglichkeit, sich z. B. nur die Haare zu waschen. Extrem schwarzer Schmutzrand unter dem Waschbeckenrand (Ekelhaft) WC-Deckel defekt, wurde nach Reklamation notdürftig repariert. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht angebracht!

Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. 5 Sterne in den Einzelkategorien. Englisches Frühstück unbedingt mitbuchen! Der Standort ist perefkt. 3 Min. entfernt ist die Russel Square Station. Von dort aus kann man ganz London erkunden. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es von uns wegen der knallenden Zimmertüren, da die Schließer zu stark eingestellt sind. Aber sonst gerne wieder! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich! Einchecken geht auch vor 14 Uhr! Wird unser Standard Hotel.

The hotel is overall very good. We had a nice experience. The english breakfast was delicious and they had many different items to taste. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only flaw was, that it can get very noisy at night.
