Günstiges Hotel mit südamerikanischem Flair. Rustikal und sehr verschachtelt, aber mit Charme. Zimmer waren leider sehr beengt, man hatte kaum Platz für einen kleinen Trolley. Fenster zu einer anderen Hauswand. Nichts für Leute mit Platzangst. Für 1-2 Übernachtungen ok.

Tolle Lage mitten in Camberwell. Liebevoll gestaltete Zimmer. Kostenfreie Kaffeebar mit schönem Aufenthaltsraum. Dort gibt es eine grosse Auswahl an Getränken, die ausser Kaffee natürlich bezahlt werden müssen. Sehr freundliche Reception.

waren für 3 Tage im Hotel, dritter Stock - alles sehr nett und originell gestaltet.Frühstück gut. Unser Zimmer war jedoch sehr klein, Licht so gedämmt so dass man nichts Lesen konnte. Flur und Treppenhaus, sehr eng und sehr verwinkelt.

Nettes Hotel mit sehr freundlichen Mitarbeitern
Ich habe ein verlängertes Wochenende in London in dem Church Street Hotel verbracht. Der Aufenthalt in dem Hotel war vollkommen zufriedenstellend und ohne jeglichen Zwischenfälle. Die Mitarbeiter sind das Herz des Hotels und sind sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sauber und mit Liebe eingerichtet. Bis zur City waren es von der naheliegenden Bushaltenstelle etwa 20-30 Minuten, was für London nicht weit ist. Das Frühstück war simple, aber vollkommen ausreichend. Die Rezeption ist 24h besetzt, was bei einer späten Anreise vom vorteil ist.

Das Hotel selbst war vom Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis absolut in Ordnung für London. Sauberes Zimmer, Frühstück war auch ok, wenn auch nicht überragend. Leider ist die Gegend sozial gesehen nicht die Beste, sodass es nachts auch mal lauter werden kann.

Am besten man informier sich vorher, welchen Bus man nimmt, den die übrige Anbindung ist kompliziert. Das Haus ist kein Luxushotel, aber das kann man bei dem Preis auch nicht erwarten. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, das zu teilende Bad einwandfrei und sauber wie ein eigenes.

Hotel im multikulturellen Süden Londons
Das Hotel ist an einer größeren, sehr lebendigen Straße mit Restaurants und kleinen Läden gelegen. Eine Bushaltestelle ist quasi direkt vor der Haustür, von hier aus ist man mit verschiedenen Linien in 10 Minuten an der Underground. Das Hotel ist individuell eingerichtet, etwas eng, aber charmant. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend, lediglich die Toilettenspülung war bei unserer Etagentoilette überlastet.

Nettes Kleinhotel mit gratis Extras
Im Juli 2013 war ich alleine für 3 Nächte in diesem Hotel. Gebucht hatte ich online. In der Buchung gab ich an, ich wollte ein Zimmer so weit oben wie möglich. Das klappte hervorragend, ich hatte eines der zwei Zimmer im obersten Stock, obwohl ich relativ kurzfrtistig gebucht hatte. Das Personal war nett, das Hotel sauber, das Bett bequem. Das Treppenhaus ist, wie man es in London kennt, spiralförmig und eng, und das Hotel verfügt über keinen Lift. Das Zimmer war sehr klein, aber auch das ist in London nicht unüblich. Dafür war das Bad mit einer Glasdusche ausgestattet. Das Frühstück findet statt im Restaurant neben dem Hotel. Das Essen war im Buffet-Style. Die Auswahl war minimal, aber reichte trotzdem: Croissants, Brot, nach Wunsch getoastet, Süsswaren, Müesli & Cornflakes, Ei, Kaffee und Tee. Nach Wunsch wurden Extras serviert, diese wären aber im Preis nicht inklusive gewesen. Gratis Kaffee und Tee (24h) im Aufenthaltsraum. Unbediente "Vertrauensbar" mit alkoholischen Drinks und Gebäck. Das einzige grosse Minus des Hotels ist dessen Lage. Es liegt im Stadtteil Camberwell, in welchem ich mich als alleinreisende junge weisse Frau nachts nicht wohl gefühlt habe. Die Verbindung zur Stadt ist zwar gewährleistet (Bus #12 bis Picadilly / Oxford Circus), doch dauert die Reise ziemlich lange. Für eilige Touristen mit grossem Sighseeing plan also nicht ganz ideal. Wenn man hingegen Zeit hat, ganz okay. Die Nächste Tube Station ist Elephant & Castle, es ist dann aber recht weit zum Laufen, der Bus braucht dann von dort bis zum Hotel etwa 10 Minuten. Alles in Allem, durchaus zu empfehlen, wenn man sich am Thema "Church", welches mittels Deko durch das gesamte Hotel hindurch geführt wird und an der Lage nicht stört.

Die Freundlichkeit des Personals macht die schlechte Lage zur nächsten U-Bahn mehr als wett. Und wenn man sich den Buslinien annimmt, dann ist das Hotel doch noch brauchbar erschlossen. Eine nette Ambiente mit Gutem Frühstück.

Reason to stay! was that my wife wants to be near K C HOSPITAL due to my hart surgery soon! So thought we try as i had a collection of appointments over night, we live on cost near Hythe. So we was rather daunted with thought of starting around Camberwell! BUT WAS DELIGHTED felt Safe! As it was very busy it was a Friday night stay! Lot's of places open! Also walking from the Hospital was comfortable felt Safe in many ways. The Hotel was very nice! But really noisy outside on that night, my wife has hearing aids so no problem.

Kitsch and unique in its way with a nice honesty bar. Bit noisy if your room is by the bar and there’s a late night booze up - but perfectly comfortable. Beware bath time - the shiny tiles on the floor are deadly.

First of all, it was a long ways downtown. The hotel was very hard to find, even for the taxi driver. The hotel did not have an elevator and we had to take four large suitcases up 3 flights of very narrow winding stairs. They had a breakfast room with continental breakfast items. This room is on the "honor" system, which someone had put items on our ticket that we did not order. The hotel did take it off. We tried to get to the tour station, but no one seemed to know how to get there. Gave us directions that lead us on a wild goose chase. It was not practical for what we came there to do. The area was run down, not what I expected of London.

Our room is cozy, spacious and clean! Beddings are clean and crispy. Mattress is so soft and comfy. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Hearty and nutritious breakfast available every morning. The location is convenient. 7 stops by bus 436 or 36 from tube station (Oval), with loads of great pubs and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Not quite noisy at night even we slept with the window open. Totally safe and chill to take a walk at night. Easy to get around by buses. Will definitely stay there again next time we visit London! (Do bring your own slippers and toothbrush though)

Quirky budget hotel really enjoyed our stay. Facilities were good decent shower comfortable bed but room could do with a makeover as the painted surfaces need redoing and mirrors. lighting and curtains need attention but would love to stay again especially if those issues were fixed.

Great location , helpful and professional staff. Everywhere lovely and clean . Single room very small but perfectly ok for a one night stay. Unfortunately my room smelt strongly of stale fried food which was unpleasant and took ages to lessen . No kettle in room (despite being listed) but they have a nice communal kitchen where you can make a drink , just not in your room.

I really like this hotel. The personnel are kind, the rooms are comfortable, and the stay is overall very pleasant. I particularly appreciate the free tea and coffee, as well as the DVDs to borrow. My only complaint would be that the windows are not very thick, so you can often hear everything going on at night (I would recommend bringing earplugs, especially if you are a light sleeper).
