We receive the first review under four stars, having successfully hosted tourists for over eleven years. We have regret for the disappointment but we believe there are several misunderstandings in this review. We haven't detected the smell mentioned by our guest nor was it detected by the guests immediately preceding and following him (who have respectively issued four and five-star reviews). Since we believe our guest, we suppose that by mistake he inadvertently turned off the sewage pumps (there is a switch inside the apartment to turn them off). In any case, our guest warned us of the smell only after he decided to leave the apartment, so we couldn't fix it. Similar considerations we are forced to carry out with regard to the leak of water in the bathroom. It was not detected by previous guests, nor by the staff who cleaned the bathroom before our guest entered. Our guest has notified us the loss of water with the decision to leave the apartment. Once the irrevocability of the decision had been established, we did not verify his existence with our guest (we are used to believe unconditionally to our guests), but we called a plumber immediately afterwards. The plumber verified that there was no leak and his assessment is confirmed by the satisfaction of the following guests. There was also a misunderstanding regarding the sheets. Our guest requested the set of sheets and bath towels (provided one-time for additional payment) and it was provided to him. The set of sheets during this season does not ordinarily include an heavy blanket (it is exceptional that it is needed: it's summer). Our guest asked us for an the blanket and it was given. We were not told that the blanket was considered small. We understand instead (and here probably is another misunderstanding) that our guest intended to receive continuous spare towel sets, not provided in house rentals (maybe in hotels and bed & breakfasts). In any case, we gave him (for free) a second set of towels, so that he could wash them without remaining without. While we believe we have offered the agreed , we have compensated our guest with a courtesy refund which took into account the reduced expenses incurred due to reduced exploitation of the apartment (the payment of the refund was made before the publication of the review, but after our guest had sent it (this explains why he reports that it was not fulfilled). In the the refund we gave up the fee for the sheets and towels not payd at arrival
