Enter the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner and sprawl out on the cosy sofas with a glass of something chilled. After a day exploring the beach, warm up in front of the toasty wood burner and pop on your favourite TV programme. Refuel with a delicious meal for two created in the well-equipped kitchen and serve up at the handy breakfast bar. On balmy evenings, take your sumptuous supper outdoors and dine alfresco in the pretty enclosed garden space. Soak tired muscles in the bathtub, before climbing into a pillowy double bed encased with crisp linens.

If you can tear yourself away from this rural retreat, you’ll find plenty to do and see right from your doorstep. Visit the picture-postcard fishing ports of Polperro (5 miles) and Looe (6 miles) to stock up on locally caught fish for feasting on at home, or treat yourselves to a classic Cornish pasty right on the waterfront. Mosey along the narrow streets of Looe to find shops, galleries and restaurants. Alternatively, hop on the short boat trip out to Looe Island to discover a marine and nature reserve where you may spot a grey seal colony. Spend a day with the pups at the glorious coastlines of Lantic Bay, Lansallos and Talland Bay, all within 6 miles of the property.
