We stayed in other well-known luxury hotels in the south of France after this stay, and the level of service in Gordes was the same or better. Second, the hotel itself: wow. "This place was fabulous! Everything you need on site to have a relaxing stay and close to many attractions like Gordes, L'Isle Sur La Sorgue, la Fountaine de Vaucluse and Les Baux de Provence. The staff were all very friendly, the front desk ladies went above and beyond, and the snack menu in the bar was excellent. For 15 Euros the breakfast included a small selection of bread, pain au chocolat, juice, yogurt, cereal, meats and cheeses and an excellent coffee and hot chocolate machine that is so popular in France. Last but definitely not least we each had an INCREDIBLE massage at the Spa Luberon on site. We had private access to the 3 amenities before the massage which was such a nice surprise. All of the staff were very professional and friendly, lots of smiles! I would stay here again at this beautiful, cosy place of relaxation in a heartbeat. "

"the front desk closes at 7pm and they charge you 25 euro to call them if it's a non-emergency. we didn't have any sheets on one of the beds so there was nothing we could do. rooms are very basic and dated"

"Gorgeous property with views into the hills and valleys. Rooms and bathrooms were spacious and well appointed. Comfortable bed and choice of pillows. We dined at the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the impressive service. Breakfast buffet was also a treat. We would gladly stay here again; recommend without hesitation. "

"It would have been a perfect stay if not for certain things that reflected the lack of care in a hotel that could have been great. This boutique hotel was nestled in nature - and was a lovely stroll to the closest village with food options galore, parks, quaint shops & market stalls that you could lose yourself in. Our disappointments: We entered the room & kicked off our shoes to find our feet immediately coated with dust. The toilet was dirty - the cleaner literally missed a yucky spot. The door handle fell off and we realised that the handle was attached loosely, which meant that the room was not secure. We brought the handle to the reception desk twice, and it was on the second day that the door was fixed. On the second day, we came back to a room that was half made - the sheets were haphazardly thrown over the bed and still creased from the night before. The staff service was very inconsistent. We had one friendly receptionist and the rest of them looked either bored or grim. I read the mostly amazing reviews about this hotel, hence I booked the room. It was quite disappointing. "

"We had a truly wonderful time at Le Moulin - the service was exceptional. A special mention to Christine who was warm, friendly and did everything she could to make our stay special. The interior of the hotel was beautiful and our room was perfect for our week stay - comfortable and spacious. The pool area was lovely and relaxing (perhaps a few more sun beds in the garden would be helpful - late afternoon was busy with people searching for a spot to lay down) we enjoyed wine and lunch by the pool which was delicious. The location is perfect - in the centre of the village with shops and restaurants a few steps away. It would be nice for the bar to stay open a little later - we wanted to enjoy a cocktail before bed bit couldn’t order past 10pm this certainly didn’t dampen our experience though. We had a fabulous time :-) "
