„This motel is very clean, freshly painted and new bathroom. Soaps come in plastic wrapping which is a disappointing choice. They provide small plates, small mugs, glasses, teaspoons and knives. Bring a bowl and a larger spoon if you fancy cereal. I think its a bit expensive for the basic simplicity but it is very clean and fresh feeling in the room. Fire alarm was beeping when we arrived but they fixed it straight away. “

„We stayed at Gardeners Cottage- it is a delightful quirky little cottage with 3 bedrooms (we did have trouble finding the 3rd bedroom and my son instantly claimed it as his little hideway). The loft housed the main bedroom with a large bed (beware, the roof is slanted so if you're tall, you might hit your head). And past the lounge was another bedroom with double bed and sitting area with rocking chair and reading nook. The cottage was overall clean but did have some issues in terms with loads ...

„We loved our time at this property - just what we needed! A beautiful view, quiet surrounds and very close to lots do do in the area. All we needed was provided and it was a wonderful winter weekend to sit in front of the fire and relax. A beautiful spot and Heather was a wonderful host. We hope to be back!“

„I would never go there again owner was staying vin room behind my room thin walls and ironing board was leaning against our wall and it got knocked by movement on the access door adjoining room 2 as we were placed in room 1 . „The layout and furnishings are basic and definitely not worth $229/night. The hot water ran out after 5 minutes, so that was pooh. Of the dozens of BNB stays, this was the only one that we felt ripped off by and think a $100 should be refunded. 😠“

„We absolutely loved our stay, everything was clean and well maintained. We stayed as 2 adults, 2 kids and our dog and the place was a great size with an even better backyard including chicken coop that the kids adored. Genevieve was lovely and courteous to our needs and was very understanding, lots of lovely touches to the place - nothing was a problem. We would definitely stay again!“

„The motel rooms on the ground floor were sufficiently shield by the hotel building so we heard no traffic noise. The beds were comfortuable and we slept well. It has a microwave, toaster and fridge with the makings for breakfast at hand. One minor downside is that there is no formal office. So. you need to call someone to check-in to your room. Similarly on checkout, you just leave the keys in your room and shut the door.“

„Lovely property, renovated (but not "restored") to high standard but modern electricals (great wifi, TV) and kitchen/baths. Spacious home, multiple eating areas, quiet street, and with a terrific host. Maldon is a charming small town and well-located to see the goldfields area. Only downside is there are only a couple of places in the town proper to dine out (Castlemaine is close). But a great place with all creature comforts.“

„Property was excellent in all areas that mattered to us as seniors. Clean comfort facilities and appliances accessible and access to management when necessary. The township and people were lovely, freely sharing information and knowledge. Weather on this occasion was perfect. Our only criticism is really one for council and authorities to improve.
