Within 20 miles, you’ll find famous day-out favourites including Glastonbury Tor, the mysterious cave networks of Wookey Hole, the shops and museums of Taunton, and the rolling landscapes of the Quantock Hills National Landscape. For a day by the sea, head to Burnham-on-Sea (21 miles), home to one of Europe’s longest sandy beaches. A brilliant all-weather option for families is the Fleet Air Arm Museum (11 miles), where you can get up close to historic aircraft and even see inside the Concorde.
