„After a rocky start during the first of 4 days at this hotel, we got all the attention adn service we wanted. Great reaction of hotel management to early and true complaints - and great service for the remaining 3 days. Kids loved the pool and playground, we loved the gardens and setting, and the whole family loved the food. Highly recommended. “

„Das Hotel liegt weit abseits der Hauptstraße (Entebbe Road) nach Kampala. Man ist folglich auf Taxis angewiesen, wobei das Hotel mit einem überteuerten Taxiunternehmen zusammenarbeitet. Wer häufiger in die Innenstadt fahren muss, sollte ein anderes Hotel wählen. Wenn ausschließlich ein ruhiger und angenehmer Aufenthalt im Hotel vorgesehen ist, ist dieses Hotel sehr geeignet.“

The night staff was very accommodating to us when I twisted my knee and they had to rush us to the hospital.
Food orders take a while to arrive though.“

„Customer service was excellent. Any small issue we had was resolved quickly and courteously. Breakfast was nice and brought to our room on time.
The bathroom was small, but the water heater worked fine. The room was spacious. The balconies were not all finished, but the view of the lake was lovely. “

„I’ve stayed there for 6 nights and it was so peaceful. The area is very quiet and secure. The room was cleaned daily and fresh linens and towels daily.
Esther was lovely, always there looking after us and making sure that we were ok.

„I spent 3-weeks here. The staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful at all times. The rooms are not the Taj-Mahal, but nor should such be expected at this price-point. For the price, the beds were good, the bathrooms/rooms were kept clean, and the water was hot.
Breakfast is on time each morning, and is a solid continental as promised. The restaurant has a good variety of foods, and prepares each to any taste request. Try the liver - OMG it is done in a delicious sauce! “

Again, very British and European style accomodations. No air conditioning but easy to acclimate to.
Overall, an outstanding property that allowed me to focus on my vist.“

„Worst experience I have ever had. It was a nigthclub with extremely loud music. Some of the staff were drunk and the room did not look at all like the pictures of the site. Don't book your room here!“

The food is excellent, fresh, and made on spot 24/7. The wifi is fast, so you can do your business just fine. It is a gated property so it's very safe. „Set near the top of Lubowa hill, Royal Victoria is quiet and very relaxing with a plant filled compound.
The staff made me feel at home with daily chats on my needs (meals, etc). It's good value for money for a relaxing break.“

Owners are friendly but they need to be more serious about guests. No hot water in shower. Heater broken? No bin bags. Doors and windows are not soundproof like stated on www. Good view on the city may compensate above issues. I would come back but this time only on top floor.“

„I was really disappointed that not once did anyone ask how my stay was. To add to that they only provided me with one towel the entire time I was there and never offered extra towels. The beddings were the same the entire time and when I asked for fresh ones, they said they don’t do that. The day I checked out, no one was there to check me out and it was very confusing who to lay the final bill to. Overall I was really disappointed with the customer service and lack of care for the guests. “
